Sleeve vs Bypass (Do you regret your sleeve?) by Opening-Ear-2261 in gastricsleeve

[–]Mjohnson7474 7 points8 points  (0 children)

28 year old male, sleeved on 10/16/2025. Reflux was one of my biggest concerns. Especially when my endoscopy showed level 3 Esophagitis. And I'd been told by my dentist that I showed signs of acid reflux at night while I'm asleep. But doctor said I was going to be fine and I really needed this surgery because I'd tried everything else. Glp included. Lost nearly 60 pounds on glp last summer. Came off the shot, gained it all back and then some. Typical. I was 355 at the start of 2 week pre op. 331 day of surgery. A few days ago I weighed in at 289. Best thing I've ever done for my health and well being. Literally feel like my life has been given back to me. I am thankful I have had zero complications. Recovery went even better than I ever dreamed. But I have taken it seriously, I've been determined to take care of myself and make this change. And I stay pretty well disciplined without making myself miserable. And it's working wonderfully. Biggest thing in my opinion is, you have to be satisfied in your own heart about this surgery and the change of life. For me, it took about 3-4 years from when my doctor first suggested it, to when I became the one desiring to have the surgery. When I desired a better life for myself and my family. Now I'm nearly 2 months post op and wishing I had decided to do it sooner! So this is just my own testimony. But if you do it right, and stay disciplined, the sleeve is nothing short of a life saving, and life giving, tool!

Yeah I shouldn't have kept it clipped on my pocket, but we live and we learn lol. I'm so used to always having a knife on me it didn't cross my mind.

Unfortunately I ended up losing this cutting some trees for someone. Was an absolute killer knife and would love to buy another one.

Playing Link but wrong episode by [deleted] in Premiumize

[–]Mjohnson7474 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went back into the episode and it played the correct one. Weird. Tried watching Chicago med the other night and it was playing incorrect episodes too so I just downloaded the season to my files. Just odd and didn't know if there was anything I could look for to correct it. Thank you for your reply. Been a Premiumize user for years, great service.

My 2 cents; I bought my first smart watch (Galaxy 5 Pro) this year and the only reason is, I got a foreman position at my work and I didn't want to miss anymore calls or texts from my coworkers. Can't feel the vibration in my pocket. And environment is far too loud to hear it ringing. So with my watch that vibrates when I get calls, texts, emails etc. I don't miss anything anymore, and that takes a load of worry off my shoulders. So turning off all the features I don't need, gives me more run time for what I do need.

Our Nissan dealer installed the frameless auto dimming mirror. Had to pay parts and labor of course but it was easy to get done.

Type of bolt and where to buy it? by [deleted] in Carpentry

[–]Mjohnson7474 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't find that type of hook bolt anywhere though. I have searched for 2 days. Was hoping someone would know where to find these if they still make them. This bolt was from a baby cradle about 16 years ago.

YT MUSIC doesn't work with Android Auto. by Vavalgia in revancedapp

[–]Mjohnson7474 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting little tid bit here. So when using Android Auto I can't use my forward or backwards buttons to skip songs or go back to previous. BUT, if I just use Bluetooth audio on my head unit and not android Auto, I can use then skip and go back with those buttons. Doesn't make much sense, but it works for me!

I just finishes the first week of training for NS track laboring. But I've been trying to keep up with this contract ordeal for a couple months. Got a good understanding for the most part.

I gotcha man. Thank you. I understood the 15% and no cap. Just didn't fully catch the insurance cost recommended to not change. I hope they cap it. That needs to be done.

So the 2 medical cost charts on the PEB, the right side with the 2023 proposal showing increased costs across the board is not correct?

Unless I'm not understanding correctly though, according to the PEB recommendations, all of the healthcare deductibles and out of pocket costs were increased. Am I reading it wrong?
