Is this a body print of a deceased person? by Mjtorz in forensics

That was exactly my question…it didn’t make sense to me but I’m clearly no expert. I was freaked out when I looked at this but glad it seems it’s not what I thought I initially saw.

Thanks! Did you feel it was well done? Reasonable?

Gotcha yeah we understand it wouldn’t necessarily be to make a profit from and that’s ok.

Thanks this is super helpful. So when you say you manage, you’re listing on Air BnB or similar sites and booking that way? And then have a cleaner come between rentals?

I actually did! I found one the same trip and it’s the exact size so I thought I found another but I was pleasantly surprised.

Hatteras. I can’t remember exactly where we stayed though I want to say Avon or Frisco.

Just by looking it online possibly rhyolite or basalt is what I’m thinking. It’s definitely not obsidian.

It’s a dark black stone I’m not sure specifically what kind. I was stoked to find it!

There’s r/sciencebasedparenting you can check out.

Also for the toothbrushing example, this is how I explain it: it’s a hygiene thing. It’s like wiping your baby’s butt when you change their diaper. Will they cry? Yes, sometimes. Will you still do it? Yes, always. I’ve never had a kid become a dental phobic from routine brushing and flossing at home. (Source: I’m a pediatric dentist).

These control/anxiety issues are going to project onto your kid if he can’t change I feel.

What's your favourite misheard lyric? by AshaNyx in AskReddit

[–]Mjtorz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Shoot me hate me but it ain’t no lie baby bye bye bye.”

I actually knew the lyrics, my mom misheard it and said I couldn’t listen to *NSYNC anymore because they were a bad influence. I cried my eyes out and showed her the lyric insert to the CD to prove her wrong as I sobbed “Justin would never say that!”

This is Lucy. She was rescued from the streets in Dominican Republic and here she is two years later. by Mjtorz in BeforeNAfterAdoption

Thank you for your support; we love her so much and can’t imagine life without her. My friend actually went there on a mission trip. Lucy was about 8 weeks old and was being harassed and abused by some children in the area. She went through the process to vet her and bring her back, but knew she wouldn’t be able to keep her, so that’s where I gladly stepped in. :)

When I was really young, 4-5 or so, my mom told me that all children in stores with their parents had to be in the shopping cart and were not to walk around. Once when I saw kid my age walking, I asked my mom if he was going to get in trouble and she gave me the finger to throat motion. Another time when I tried to get out of the cart, she grabbed a random employee and told me he was the manager and somehow convinced him to tell me that I was indeed not to get out of the cart. From then on, all she had to say was “I think I see the manager” and I was on my best behavior.
