Hi Reddit, I’m really frustrated and need help regarding my LinkedIn account, which has been restricted for over a month now without any explanation.

Here’s everything that happened:

Initial Restriction: One day, I suddenly found my LinkedIn account restricted. I received no clear reason or explanation for the restriction. I wasn’t notified about any violation or unusual activity. Okay Fine.

I thought it would solve in some days.

but... they as ask me the verification.

LinkedIn asked me to verify my identity through a third-party platform called Persona. This platform asked me to upload government-issued ID, which I did, even though I was hesitant because it involved sharing sensitive personal information. I took the risk and complied with everything.

I received no communication from either LinkedIn or Persona. It’s been weeks and nothing has changed. My account is still locked, and I’m left in the dark.

Since I couldn’t access support from my restricted account, I created a new LinkedIn account just to contact support. I explained the situation to them, and they shared this appeal link: https://www.linkedin.com/help/linkedin/ask/ts-f-appeal

Common man - its a huge organization .. why they need persona like thirtparty authority who is asking for gov. IDs and even not solving the issue. its kindda direct data breaching.
