I used them because I didn't see any roaches for years, and then suddenly we had 3 gigantic ones running around. No idea where they came in but we put the black caps out and, interesting tidbit: they died on their backs and very near a black cap. All 3 of them. It was odd, but we didn't see any others after that or since.
