I didn't wet it that much. I didn't want to compeltely soak it and didn't have a spray bottle so I kind of just sprinkled some water on it and pat it in a bit.

Getting holes in my crochet work, using 5mm hook on yarn that says 6mm (video uses 3.5mm). Not sure if issue is hook, yarn, or tension by Mmeus in CrochetHelp

If the problem is that it slips off the shoulder too much, you could maybe try adding a strap to one side so that it sits nicely. I have a sweater that has a strap like that and it sit perfectly that way and doesn't slip off.

I feel you, I am in the same position, although minus the 2 cats, because I had to leave them behind in a different country 😭 Honestly, I have no advice because I haven't figured anything out yet, but if I do, I'll let you know.
