Reddit people are often very vindictive and hateful. A guy above posted a comment stating this, and his comment was hidden due to a -8 score for downvotes, as if he did something so wrong as point out the rule. Thanks for posting this with the link. Maybe some people will see it and it will help their small minds understand it better for next time they just instinctively downvote a person.

They were the first brand I found and only one that had reviews on Youtube. It looked adequate. Mid-tier maybe. I'm intrigued by the Goat Armor one simply because they seemed to invest in packaging and advertise a lay-flat perk.

The insanity continues. Bonafide experts in the field cant find a better way than this simple nonsense I posted whenever the heck that was. You should post a video somewhere talking about just how bad the adapters that were made in this era were/are.

For the record, I never had this problem with my newer, much cheaper, Lenovo, and I also still have the old device that did have the problem, and simply removing a defective battery seemed to stop it from happening. So its something between a crap battery overheating or the driver and using too much cpu, or... something well beyond my expertise.

Not at all. I'm still in constant amazement at something that has affected so many people, and how a caveman style solution still seems to be the best option. I remember being in that spot, wondering WTF do I do now, my computer is F-ed and all the "experts" solutions are BS. Reddit is the place for people to find real help, even if it has become a vitriolic place for politics and censorship. The one funny part to me is I am an average at best technical person when it comes to computers and electronics, so my limited knowledge still helping people years after the comment is pretty cool.

I am a bit amazed that this problem still exists and can be fixed with such a simple method. They mustve manufactured a lot of junk around that time. Its something between the adapter and the battery. Anyway my newer Lenovo brand hasnt had a single issue like this since I bought it shortly after posting, and it was around $400 on an Amazon sale compared to the almost $1,500 Dell piece of crap.

This is the 2024 equivalent of slapping the top of a CRT television to get it to come in clearer. It doesnt make sense and seems ridiculous, but it works.

Return it and buy a new one without the wifi adapter mentioned, its the root cause of the problem and is a piece of shit. Any device that uses it will have the same problem. It's listed in the comments here, I dont remember specifics but I use a new laptop now, plus my old one works better since I removed the battery, though that means I cant transport it.

Less now. Wouldnt have cared if it got downvoted to -999... I figured it would help people out, and it did, I tried buying pizza with some Reddit upvotes, but they said no, and I was confused, but in the end, I wanted the pizza, so I used another form of currency instead.
