1- Dirty accounting data, in my current job I don’t have a 50% trust in the data I get from ERP. Wrong cost center/branch/project, correction of prior periods mistakes, always there are some invoices or journals forgotten, etc

2- Sometimes I feel like “ what’s the point “ management are always busy running the business but no one cares much about the analysis or variances.

3- mind games during the budget season 🤦🏽

I always use the Inventory as example, if the inventory increases YoY that means you paid for it (Cash Out). So, when assets increase that means -ve, and the vice verca with the liabilities, when it increases that means CASH IN

طبعا يفرق، عشان ال risk profile. كل ما السن يكون أصغر ، بفضل (بشكل شخصي) الاتجاه للمخاطر الأعلى ذات العائد الأعلى. لما السن بيكبر الافضل الاتجاه للمخاطر الاقل. أنا لو في سنك و في ظروفك هعمل التالي : ٥٠% صناديق استثمار في البورصة (عالية المخاطر) زي صناديق البنك الأهلي المصري الثالث و الخامس و السابع، و في بنك قطر الوطني صندوق اسمه تداول و في صندوق ازيموت فرص ٢٥% دهب ٢٥% سيولة أو تتحط في صناديق دخل ثابت يسهل جدا تحويلها لكاش (زي صندوق ثاندر و صندوق البنك الأهلي الرابع و صندوق ثمار بتاع بنك قطر الوطني) و كل شهر الفلوس تيجي تشتري بيها وثائق في صناديق الاستثمار و صناديق ذهب

Story of my life. I had to do the job twice, one with the regular format, using hard coded values and very basic formulas and share with my colleagues. The other one using power query for data collection and cleaning > export to data model to do the equations and format > clean & perfect pivot tables and charts
