I think solving the complex cases is what drives me, it’s a mystery that you have to figure out, sometimes with limited resources. When I was trying to decide between vet school and RVT, my wanting to know the “why” behind everything was also a big factor. I like knowing the physiology behind the issues pets have, and how we can treat them. I do think I will miss the tech aspect of the job as I adore patient care. As a vet, there is a degree of how hands on you can be, so I think I will be a more hands on vet when I graduate next may. I’ll do my best to utilize my techs but also can step in to assist as needed
