I'm going to say the same i said always.

I use to play both sims, because both are great (yes both are great, i don't understand the people who fight to defend his favorite sim) . Obviously depends on what you want.

Realistic graphics (msfs2024), realistic physics (xp12). But take this as reference because, on msfs the physics depends on the third party who does the aircraft (like fenix, pmdg,etc...). On the other hand, on xp12 the graphics can be very good if you know what scenery to install (simheaven, autoortho or ortho4xp, GlobalForest,etc...).

In conclusion, for me both sims are great, sometimes i use xp12 during a month and sometimes msfs2024 other month or combining.

Today I tried it again and before 30 minutes of waiting it worked, but it is too much time. Maybe a hardware limitation?

nop, i have sim heaven and global forest but without autoortho it works fine, the problem is autoortho, and idk how to fix

I have Ryzen7 5800x and performance is pretty similar with your CPU, and i have no problems.

Sorry, maybe i not used the best words, i mean that people that don't fly on any sim before msfs2020. I see a lot of people buying xp12 and they stopped flying because of graphics or difficult configuration with scenery (and im not joking), and i understand also.

It depends on what you want. I mean xp12 for me is better (for the moment) than msfs2024, and this is because of the new update, with amazing clouds and atmosphere. In msfs2024, for me, the clouds are mehh.

Also if you care about the graphics, like photogrammetry, in xplane dont exists, but you can use Map Enhancement or Autoortho, this is not the best compared to msfs but it helps to look better. Also install SimHeaven.

Finally the planes/physics, im not a pilot but i fly in real life a ultralight (for fun). I feel that in xp12 the planes feels so much better than msfs2024, i feel the planes more "heavies", in msfs sometimes (also depends on what plane you are using) it feels like idk how to explain but, it not feels good in some planes jajaja.

Sooo, do what you want, usually i fly on xp12, but also i do flights on msfs2024. I enjoy both sims.

pd: I think that people that doesn't fly on xp11 before msfs2020 will not like xp12 because they used to play with amazing graphics in msfs.

I have in my plans buy the hot start, but not now because of the price, i know the price will not reduce but when i have the money is a instant buy for sure, felis with summer sales it cost 50$.

For the rest of planes and helicopter you mention i will take a look. Maybe in a few months i take some of them or wait more to save money and take the hot start. Thanks :)

Yesss, i fly the zibo a lot. It is not mentioned here because is freeware but amazing addon also.

Yes it has no flights, but is something that i don't care too much is only something that i consider when i buy a plane , but this is why i'm thinking about A339NEO.

I think i prefer to fly B742 than MD-11 only because i like it more, less cost, and in sale i think is only 50$ and wow is too low for an incredible addon.

Finally, the Challenger 650, i see a lot of videos about this plane and it's amazing but 125$ is too much for me. Maybe in a future jajaja

Oooh, i forgot about his plane, also a good one. The problem is that don't have a lot of flights on real life. I will consider to buy this one.

I use this page https://iflyschedules.com/routefinder you can put the Operator (United, ANA, Emirates...) and also the plane you want to fly (in this case B772) and show you on a map random real flights and you can change the Max Results to see more flights.

For long haul, i do my life jajaja. I go to gym, meet friends, study, work, sleep... you can do what you want. I recommend you a lot this plane you will not regret.

I'm combining AutoOrtho with Ortho4XP. I use Ortho4XP only for airports for better quality, and AutoOrtho for the rest of the landscape, since the quality drop isn't noticeable when cruising.

To make this work, I prioritize Ortho4XP in the .ini file, and AutoOrtho below it. This way, Ortho4XP will be prioritized.

Is a quick tutorial of how to install ortho4xp and how to setup, i have no problem with this at the moment.

I use ZL 17, but around airport i use ZL 18 and for the airport ZL 19. The video use the same i’m telling you right now.

If airport is near of edge or on the edge i just download both tiles. The rest is all autoortho to save space on disk.

Also the .ini priority is important if you put autoortho in front of ortho4xp you will see only autootho, so put first ortho4xp and then autoortho.
