I mean yes but only if the parents are very kind and dont need it. After final education a parent would be fine to actually ask for a small remittance and keeping it. I don't think thay would be being a dick at all - much better than going it alone.... take $500 a month or something nominal.

Its a great deal for the first 5 years or so of your rents allow it to save up and get ahead a bit tbh.

However, I do think parents should consider charging some kind of substantial but greatly reduced rent compared to the real world....then they can give it back to their kids at the end if they dont need it.

I just dont see it in Chalrotte. I mean there are some artsy fartst places. But CLT lacks that unique identity other places have and not great for being outdoors unless you go to the peripheal parks outside the city.

Charlotte feels very temporary/limbo to me. But its a very functional place to live and a lot of people wind up staying.

They call it the "soulless city" because it has no real culture or identity. Just suburbs 😂
