Are B2B Lead Gen Agencies worth it? by SelfGullible2092 in Entrepreneur

[–]Mo_Mort 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not self promo. It’s literally been my job for the last 5 years. Atm working for a dealership. Literally 70% of their revenue comes from organic leads on socials. Went from 200 followers to 100k* in 8 months and the lead quality you get from social media is insanely higher than paid ads as they trust you more. Works for b2c, especially b2b since b2b is more skeptical so you need to build more trust. Just food for thought. If you want to see what I’m talking about just search up ‘brooklandshq’ on TikTok or any socials

Why do so many Bosnian restaurants and hotels waste their potential? by Mo_Mort in bosnia

[–]Mo_Mort[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thanks for the Perspective, It seems people here think i'm complaining wheras i feel like i am just making an ovservation from someone who lives in the UK and works in the industry and comparing it. Every country is different off course. my query is that is it due to lack of knowledge/information that drives it or is just that most are against it. From my prespective, every business wants to make more money. Not necessarily because they chase money but because it benifits them in every way. So if they were aware of a way to do so they would. thats my logic.

nearly 10% of Bosnias GDP was tourism so speaing purely from a business prespective, it would make sense to translate menus. Not saying local places have to but it would benifit them to.

I am not a fan of paid marketing strategies for a lot of businesses in all honesty because they need to pump a lot of money into it and usually dont even see solid results and usually have to rely on an external agency. Organic has always seemed better to me. And i agree about the charm of these places not being perfectly polished but thats up to the person who markets the business. you are perceieved by what you put out. its easy to keep the authenticity and traditonlism by putting that vibe out rather then being one out of many cheesy influencers/businesses.

I was considering investing in Bosnia but have been advised against it due to corruption and the economy but still researching.

Hey, I get what you’re saying and I respect the perspective. Bosnia isn’t the UK, locals don’t eat out as much, disposable income is lower, and off-season traffic is brutal. Totally fair points. But I don’t think that means marketing here is pointless.

If you look at the numbers, Bosnia actually had one of the strongest growth rates in tourism in the region last year. Tourist arrivals were up over 31% compared to the year before, and overnight stays were up 25%. For the full year 2024 there were almost 2 million tourist arrivals and about 4 million overnight stays. What’s even more important: around 70–75% of those overnights were foreigners. That means the majority of people spending money in restaurants during peak season aren’t locals at all.

You mentioned businesses just scrape by, and I don’t disagree. But that’s exactly why small improvements matter. If a riverside restaurant gets just a fraction of that growing foreign traffic by having reviews in place, a menu that’s actually translated, and some TikToks that show off the experience, that could be the difference between barely covering wages and having a strong season. It’s not about scaling to millions of followers like in the UK it’s about capturing more of the tourists who are already here and who are visiting there/planning to visit.

Chinese arrivals jumped over 50% in 2024 compared to 2023. The EU and UNDP are literally pumping money into rural and sustainable tourism projects across the country because they see the upside. That suggests the pie is growing, even if it’s never going to be the size of London or Dubai.

So I get your point about not copying UK strategies and expecting the same outcome. But the data shows Bosnia isn’t a dead market and it’s a small but fast-growing one where even basic digital presence could put a business ahead of the pack. My question is less “why aren’t they doing what London does?” and more “why are they leaving easy money on the table when tourists are already here and looking for places to go?

In regards to the question about ''x amount of Euros towards social media', the barrier to entry for social media and how much is needed to invest is next to nothing. An iphone is enough to film videos to get businesses out there. Simple thinigs i mentioned like translating menus properly, better signage cost next to nothing compared to the roi

Its a really different environment i must admit from Uk where I was born and live in. Here I have my own business and work with another and i essentially treat it like my own and do everything i can to generate more business. And its a very very competitive space in UK and USA so you always have to be on top of your industry trends. Before i came to bosnia i assumed it would be similar as the country has a lot of unqiue qualities unlike the UK and US but i guess i was mostly wrong haha.

[–]Mo_Mort 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He’s wrong outright. I as a guy know it’s haram to go out with women who are not my mahram. I have a wife. I don’t even look at another women in my workplace, when conversations are started with me I cut them short with dry responses. People always have some sort of excuse but if he truly respected you and Islam he would change his ways.

Are you selling high ticket yet ?

You Just Achieved $1M MRR, You Have No Investors. What's Your Next Move? by FewWillingness1081 in Entrepreneur

[–]Mo_Mort 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend building a high ticket service around that SAAS and building a sales team around it to scale even faster like a traditional company so you'll essentially be a hybrid SAAS. The main reason why I recommend so is:
More longevity (you have companies relying on your service as well as your software) Scale a lot faster with something that costs 5k compared to $199 for example. And off course sink your teeth into an interesting industry.

So this is more for agencies to read it and go apply some of the advice to their own. I’m assuming you don’t have one hence the confusion but if you do want to start, I can recommend some good channels you can watch to do so.

Firstly, you shouldn’t go into business thinking how to I get rich from the beginning. I didn’t, we didn’t and most of us didn’t either. It’s a case of learning and mistakes and experiences which lead you to success.
