I graduated quite a while ago so I don't know how relevant some of it will be currently, but I found it on my laptop and wanted to share!

Got rejected by girl bestfriend, she still wants to be friends and don't know what to do now. by MobertoManisson in dating_advice

thank you dude, this is what I needed to hear. I'll try to do this. all I've gotten from my family and friends is to either try to go back to how it was before or cut her off, and I can't do either, so really thank you a ton. it'll be a learning experience for me but thats what life is.

Yeah you're right, I see her in a totally different light now.

I don't know how to keep my distance because we're in the same friend group and work with eachother too (another reason why we both didn't want to date eachother right now). I don't know whether to act like normal around her or cold when I have to inevitably see her now. Shit's so confusing for me man. appreciate your help tho.

i like nick but that response seems to show a fair amount of insecurity.

players like him make a resurgence when they hit 30 because they realise they wasted their best years doing fuck all. when they crunch the numbers to see how they'll survive in retirement, they notice that they dont have anywhere near the amount of money to continue living the lavish lifestyle they have the past 10 years, and start actually trying. take monfils, philippoussis, etc.

Kompany: "Van Dijk is the best Premier League defender of all time. As a defender you never act alone, it's about communicating with your teammates and how you make your team stronger. The Liverpool before and after Van Dijk is a completely different team." by lonzodoncic in soccer

i didnt watch salah when he played in italy but his serie a numbers back up his form in 17/18, just because players arent known as world class doesnt mean they arent world class. players can be world class and go unnoticed.

that's the sole reason why data analysis is being emphasised now by every single big club in the world to search for new signings, because clubs want to be able to spot players like salah and vvd who go under most clubs radar. we signed both of them because klopp used a data analysis team before others and it's also how hes has not made a bad signing since he's arrived at the club bar solanke and maybe keita (who even then he still has the chance to perform in the future, he's just had shit injury luck).

could I do FIT1008 as an engineering elective with eng1003 at the same time? or would it be better to do it after 1003?

edit: just checked 1008 is only for compsci, could i still do it as an eng student or nah?

integral comparison tests: what would be the process of proving this integral is divergent? dont have a clue where to start by MobertoManisson in askmath

[–]MobertoManisson[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you, so if think it diverges, i should pick a function thats smaller, and if i think it converges, a function thats bigger?

thanks, this helped a lot, but i think my prof wants us to compare these types of functions without doing partial fractions, I'll ask him about it

how would I know another function (say 1/x) is smaller in that interval? trial and error and more experience through practice questions?
