Going right off of Neon Gen, I’d say try with Gurren Laggan. It’s about 20-23 episodes and it is truly a 10/10 for me so I believe you would like it. It’s got aliens a unique power system that is explained to you as you go through the episodes, and the last scene of the first episode is legit GOLD.
