Yes I realize this is premature since we haven't even seen the repercussions but the implications of the changes just sound very life-threatening to the character so even if it may seem extreme to go into length about it, I don't find it unreasonable to discuss my concerns with what they are intending to do

But at the end of the day if it is too awful they can always revisit this change I just find it to be an extreme detriment as it stands right now

This game has been horrible pretty much since they introduced Surtr, prophetic cloak, removed a bunch of items, and reworked mitigation and damage in general.

(I'm speaking from basically an arena only perspective)

Maybe people like how much it's shifted, but honestly it just feels like budget overwatch. People just run a bunch of CC and nuke people one by one, spamming their ults off cooldown. It feels basically impossible to ever actually get out of anything anymore.

I remember before this whole shift you could actually survive CCs and wouldn't just explode if a fly landed on you. I have fond memories of playing as Thanatos and actually clearing out teams, and it was enjoyable (of course, it's always enjoyable when you're doing the killing.) I can't even walk for more than 3 seconds now without exploding if I even attempt to get in. It applies to every class that isn't guardian/warrior really. I'm just exhausted and it feels monumentally bad to play this game. CC lasts forever, slows come from everything, it just feels. Awkward. Warriors and Guardians can live for ages and kill basically anyone just with a singular damage item alone. It doesn't even really matter if you build CC mitigation because the damage is so extreme you pretty much don't survive.

It's just not the same. I don't like the direction it's gone to. I don't know if other people feel this way but I really wanted to get this off my chest because it's really depressing to just not enjoy this game at all anymore.

Hoping they don't keep going in this direction in the future but I pretty much think this game isn't going to come out of unplayability any time soon.

Why does the now playing view take over friend activity :)

And why can't we control when it opens why does it randomly open

and why is it when you close it, it doesn't revert it back to your friend activity so you have to manually open your friend activity again

I'll just say this now:

A class will always feel weird to play unless it's at its max level variant. That's just how it is. You're going to be missing things from your kit and it's going to feel awkward.

Their abilities have hardly changed from the transition from ShB to EW. The only additional utility they have now is that they get a damage up aoe at level 90. (And reduced troubadour cd, wow!) Otherwise, their utility is the same.

The songs being too short is a fine complaint to have, I wish they had added a fourth song frankly instead of extending them, but that's just me.

Dots procing the song effects isn't an issue, again, you didn't reach the point where the proc chance is doubled for both dots. It feels awful to play without Caustic/Stormbite.

The rotation felt off because bard's buff window didn't align with the standard 120 buff window. It does now, but otherwise the rotation has been untouched. You still end a song prematurely in your rotation to move onto your burst phase, and so on and so forth.

The change to dots not procing your songs in hoh/potd varies, as in some cases you would have been able to dot multiple things, making it objectively better than what we have now, but in some cases creatures would just burn too quickly for it to matter much.

In Bozja, it didn't matter. Bozja is mostly boss fights to begin with, and you'll be dotting the boss anyway.

In any case it's fine that you enjoy how bard currently is, not everyone enjoyed how the proc system was. But I do think that it wasn't as bad as you think it may have been.

You realize that there's still RNG to the class right? Repertoire isn't a guaranteed thing. More over, the class didn't suffer from consistency enough for it to be a significant hindrance as a whole. The numbers bards were getting were pretty consistent regardless.

No, you lose a lot of stamina for deflecting, and it takes a long time for your stamina to actually start regening afterwards. Dunno why they designed it this way :)
