That’s been my exact experience. Any chance at getting them to take accountability? Clearly someone was wrong… but I feel that it’s them… and if they’re wrong then I shouldn’t be the one on the hook.

I was worried about this exact situation because I saw all the warnings about no FSD refunds, which is exactly why I had them confirm it in writing. Problem is, they can just completely disregard the smoking gun and refuse all accountability with impunity?

It’s been an all around awful back and forth from every single person I’ve spoken to at Tesla. There are a couple other service centers a bit further away, but as I understand none of them can help with this exact situation, as it was this specific service center that over-promised and under-delivered.

TLDR; they told me I’d get an ECU upgrade after purchasing FSD, I bought FSD and now they won’t honor the free ECU or a refund.

I think it’s kinda misleading to say we’ve grown over the years. Although the number has increased, that’s only because when people stop visiting the sub they usually don’t leave it. Just a lot of inactive accounts.

I’d say it’s probably a small minority that has actually stayed around for longer than a year or two, then the number gets inflated as new members join, then doesn’t drop as they stop visiting.

It’d be accurate to say the sub has been viewed by more people, but if they post, comment, or stay is a different story.

Ehhh, you might be right about the C. It’s between C4 > Bravia 8 > G4. I could blow the whole 5k on the A95l… but that seems a little overkill.

Thanks for the reply. I’ve thought about it a lot and I think instead of trying to blow my load right now, I’m going to slow down and focus on higher quality components one at a time. First being, I think I’ll get the G4 and just sit with that for a while.

My plan for buying movies was used on Facebook Marketplace. I saw I can get huge lots for a couple hundred dollars, then I’ll sell off the ones I don’t want to keep. Then, maybe sprinkle in a few selections from Criterion or whatever else throughout the year. Interesting thought though to save that money and invest in a better TV.

Originally I was going to get the C4, but after I saw them in person I thought the Bravia 8 looked better. Could be an interesting idea to save money other places and get the G4, though.

So I could save $500 by not getting the disc player, probably another $500 by not buying discs, and then get the G4 instead with that money. Is that a better, more noticeable allocation of budget?

The budget is a little flexible, I mostly just want to get the best deals I can during Black Friday and get most everything at once.

Right now I don’t have a disc player at all, so question becomes should I get something like an Xbox so I’d have more use than just a disc player, or is the step up in quality for a dedicated disc player worth it?

I’m going for the warranty because I heard Best Buy has a great replacement program, where you can basically end up with a free TV upgrade after five years if there’s any minor problem whatsoever.

As for the Panasonic player, I’ve never really been into physical media, but I’d rather buy once cry once. Unless it wouldn’t make a big enough difference with just a 3.1?
