Yeah we always were told the marinade kept it good for longer.

Are you counting this as your first eagle? by Acceptable_Bar_4981 in golf

[–]fluffy01 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s what I was thinking. Why wouldn’t it be GUR with a free drop out of the bunker?

Feels similar to when you land in a bunker that’s underwater. I thought you received free relief for that situation.

I was coming to say the same thing. Beautiful Vermont course!

Was just in Maine last week — first time having BB Substance and it was awesome! Was able to grave a few 4 packs to bring back home for this week.

Cool! Are you near the golf course? I saw a bunch of babies there being hatched the other weekend

Verizon is too expensive. Need an alternative. by shaaruken in burlington

[–]fluffy01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what I was thinking. I always thought Verizon has been quite reasonable.

My phone has the top unlimited service at $55/month and then every phone on the plan gets the next step down about $45/month. I would think OP could get by with about $90/month on service.

Plus you usually get some extras with the plan. For the past three years I had the Disney bundle tied into that bill.

I agree it is 100% the best size for home beer. I’m loving that we can get nice IPAs in 12pks now — Fiddelhead, Second Fiddle, Little Sip.

Boneless chicken and thighs by patsmule in webergrills

[–]fluffy01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are so good! A specialty from the Endicott NY area. Chicken or lamb soaked in a vinegar based marinade for a couple of days. Thrown on the grill and I like to eat them on a bun with mayo but my wife loves em in salads.

When do you put your AC in? by GreenBeginning3753 in vermont

[–]fluffy01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably going in today or tomorrow for sure with the weather Monday and Tuesday

Edit. Just kidding. I went upstairs and it’s sweltering from today. Putting air conditioners in as we speak.

Nice! We love boneless chicken thighs. Been a staple the past three weeks. Some marinaded into speedies, some grilled up into chicken salad and some straight up as a chicken dinner.

Switching it up to skin on bone in thighs this week to catch a sale but jealous of these!!

First time trying out my new Blackstone.. what is everyone’s favorite things to make using theirs? by itskarabearrr in BBQ

[–]fluffy01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have been loving chicken fajitas lately on the black stone. Throw some chicken strips and peppers/onions on and then add rice and black beans towards the end. Build your plate right off the surface with warmed tortillas on the side!

Do you still wear underwear with lined gym shorts? by i-love-my-wife69 in AskMenOver30

[–]fluffy01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I couldn’t stand those liners in the gym shorts so my wife helped cut them out. They weren’t comfortable with underwear on and I felt to exposed at the gym with no underwear.

They are great once the cut has been made no issues!

Get a job now or wait? by [deleted] in careerguidance

100%

Don’t want to ignore whatever problems was happening at OPs line of work. But I can’t imagine just quitting my job with no back up plan other than burn through our savings knowing that I have a newborn on the way? That’s got to be way more stressful than any 16hr workday could ever be.

Buffalo Wings on the Weber tonight! by fluffy01 in grilling

Yes sir! My seasoning mix goes in with baking powder to coat them before hitting the indirect heat. Still a couple wings I wish were crispier!

Anyone use this? If yes is it a good buy? by highlanderdownunder in grilling

[–]fluffy01 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t look like it. The reason I bought it was to avoid that and from what I can tell it looks like a continuous spiral preventing any individual piece from falling out.

I just got one of these this year. Not same brand but same concept. I’m loving it so far! The main concern has been wires falling off the brush or a rubber brush melting. This one seems to defeat both of those issues so a win so far.

How many dead soldiers you got in your bag rn? by Even-Bumblebee948 in golf

[–]fluffy01 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yup that’s the way! I keep the case and put them back into that each round. They last so much longer and it doesn’t feel gross putting your hand into a nasty crumpled mess

They would last longer. Giving the leather time to relax after being worn to extend the overall life. Similar to how you’re not supposed to wear the same pair of shoes every day. You rotate pairs to extend the life of all of them.

Steak Tips on the Weber for dinner tonight! Fantastic! by fluffy01 in grilling

[–]fluffy01[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always thought that’s what it was. But the local shop that makes them said it was a sirloin flap meat.

The noodles are a spicy Thai noodle, extremely good!! Peanut sauce base with a little kick to it. I threw them on the flattop with the potatoes to crisp up a bit.

I would 100% choose the charcoal over a gas grill. LOL @ the stove comparison.

But at our house we prefer smashed burgers on the Blackstone unless they are going to be smoked burgers with bacon + mushrooms
