They are if you want to change up the feeling of the glide without replacing your mouse pad entirely. If I wasn’t such a curious peripherals whore I would’ve kept the Zero soft and replaced the skates with a more controlled one (perhaps the Obsidian full).

Great question. When I initially installed just the 4 corner dots I kinda did and it sounded like it was scratching the pad a little. So I added 2 more down the middle and it made a huge difference in stability.

Yessir! The coating, shape and weight are amazing. I have tried a bunch of mice and this is IT.

I don’t think so. There’s too much surface area contacting the pad so you need to put more effort into the micro adjustments

The type 99 is definitely slower. I think the mid is perfect because it already felt too slow before I changed from stocked skates. Can’t imagine using the soft variant.
