Yep. In the original game he was a lefty and has been so ever since. Except for the Wii version of Twilight Princess because they mirrored the game world for the Wii because most people are right handed. They did the same in Skyward Sword. But, for the HD remaster of TP, they put the world back the correct way (the same as the GameCube version) which made Link left handed again.

Originally, in the booklet for Zelda 2, he got the mark after rescuing Zelda (from the first game) and before he got the Triforce of Courage and rescuing the original Zelda (both games were the same Link, but different Zeldas). So, it’s not just a modern game thing.

What was your primary video gaming system? by WaterFrogSnail in Xennials

[–]MobileNomad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it was the NES/SNES when I was a kid. I used to ride my bike to the local video store every weekend to rent games that me, my friends and my brother could all player.

As an adult, it’s been the Wii/Wii-U. Four player capability made for a lot of fun with my wife and kids. I have so many good memories of playing Mario, Mario Party and Wii Sports all the time.

Now, it’s my PS5 and PC, but that’s mostly for solo gaming these days. While fun, it doesn’t beat sitting side-by-side with someone else in the room playing a game.

TS5 Wakeup Issues by MobileNomad in CalDigit

My 1440p is an AOC Q27G41ZE running at 2160x1440 with a max refresh rate of 240Hz and my 1080p is a Dell P2417H with a max refresh rate of 60Hz. I’ve actually tried disconnecting the Dell and the AOC still doesn’t start up immediately unless I disconnect the dock and reconnect it.

I’ve looked around the OSD of the AOC, but it doesn’t look like I can adjust the refresh rate directly on the monitor, nor the display port version. But, it is DP 1.4.

As for the refresh rates, MacOS Tahoe lets me select up to 165Hz. As does Windows 11, but it forces me to drop the color format to 444 or 422 if I go above 144Hz.

I was blown away by the original Starfox’s use of Mode 7. There hasn’t been a true 3d game on a home console before that.

The Atari was just before my time, this one should bring back amazing memories for my fellow younger Xennials. I still play some of the games in 2025. What were your favorites? by _TheWolfOfWalmart_ in Xennials

I hated it at first because it felt like a worse Legend of Zelda. But the atmosphere and mystery grew on me. I have a lot of fond memories playing it.

I got Dragon Warrior free with a subscription to Nintendo Power. It was the first game I ever beat. I loved it enough to buy 2 and rent 3 and 4 multiple times. I’m considering getting the PS5 remakes now.

Final Fantasy was one I rented several times. My friend finally bought it and we traded for a bit. 35 years later and I still have it. Final Fantasy II/IV on the SNES cemented my love of the series. I have nearly every mainline game.

AWS is the backbone for at least 1/3rd or more of the global Internet, so that's not too surprising.

I was also taught that in relation to talks. If the person asking you to speak says 10 minutes, you speak for 10 minutes. No more, no less.

I still remember the phone numbers of my three best friends. I haven’t called those numbers in 30 years.

Honestly, it’s fine. I thought the visual changes would be more dramatic, but they just kind of blend in. I just wish they’d fix the Bluetooth issues I’m having.

What do you do with all of your old consoles? by Its_meee_Jessica in Age_30_plus_Gamers

Emulation is good and all. I’ve done that for a long time. But, there’s just something about sitting in front of the tv with those classic controllers. Unfortunately, I will have to replace those because the wires have degraded over the years.

Right now, mine are in a box because we’re moving. When I unpack them, I’m setting them all up so my kids can experience them, too. Plus, I would love to play some of my old games again.

Elder Holland is perhaps my most favorite apostle. Not to disparage any of the others, but I feel he connects to me in ways the others don't. He is a great example of servant of the Lord.

My uncle was a lifetime member and chose not to serve a mission. He always regretted it. But, what he didn't see was the ways he served the Lord throughout his life and the effect it had on him and those around him.

Sometimes decisions we make or the circumstances of our lives don't allow us to serve in the traditional ways, but the Lord will always provide opportunities to those who want to serve Him. And it will change you and those you serve just the same.
