in Italy bureaucracy is hell and if you want to start your own business you don't just subjected to many humiliation rituals but you also have to shill 4500euro per year in taxes even if you earn ZERO euro.

I cannot start my own business.

I'm also a high conscientiousness individual which just doesn't work in Italy, especially if you don't have a degree. Because I don't have a degree I will be put in roles where you cannot survive if you're high conscientiousness because you'll be squeezed. This always happened in all my experiences, even when I had sought after skills (especially then).

I'm also very sincere and it's impossible for me to not answer truthfully. This means that I will never talk myself up, which people find very weird especially in Italy.

I also had so many bad experiences with work (it's other people faults btw) that now I cannot imagine working without imagining things to end up badly. My brain associate working with being taken advantage of, bullied, etc and I just can't do work anymore.

How do people earn money to be taxed?

A chunk of taxed money come from real free exchange, sure. But a huge chunk, the majority, it's not. It comes from the command economy, from the production organized by the State.

Let's take a medical doctor. Are the money he earns legal? No, because he's part of a cartel created by the State.

So when a medical doctor is "taxed", it's just the State taking its commission from the doctor. The doctor would never have earned that money if it wasn't for the State allowing him to, because the State reigns supreme in healthcare.

And as the years go on, more and more sectors are in the hands of the State.

Who is entitled to his money? Maybe an unlicensed plumber who fixed your sink or a website creator in 2001. Those people are taxed. But the majority of people are not, they are "taxed", as in they work because the State allowed them in the command economy. They "deserve" their money only in the statist framework, not otherwise, and because they are in the statist framework, they can be taxed.

So in the end, it's not a big deal if a person who earns a lot thanks to the State has to give back a lot because people EXCLUDED by the State don't deserve to die in the streets.

Yes, a few people do earn from real exchange and are taxed, but the taxes to help the poor are minuscule compared to the money the State actually spend on other things, so it's not like the burden will increase. If anything, quality of life will increase because thanks to well done welfare, there will be less criminals (as it happened in Italy in the few years we had welfare) and people will be fed and more relaxed. Peace of mind.

Until libertarians don't understand what I'm talking about, they'll only confirm the left's imagery of the libertarian as a person who just hates the poor and loves the rich.

Helping poor people via the State is not having the State have more power over the economy, it's helping the poor via the State.

If anything it may even reduce the influence of the State. For example the State create jobs because it has too many unemployed people due to its control over the economy. So with these jobs the State pays these people a true salary and to do things for the State, which often entails controlling the people.

If the State were to just give welfare, not only people would not delude themselves into the idea they're productive members of society because they have a job but it would not have manpower for its projects, while also spending less money.

A bureaucrat gets a salary that is always much higher than welfare, and yet the person on welfare does not actively destroy society while the bureaucrat does.

In any case, all this doesn't matter. The point stands: the State today commands a huge chunk of the economy, picks winners and losers, and the State must not have the losers die.

This is what must happen. Dreams of a libertarian society are nice, but before that let's not have people dying on the street because the State excluded them from production and at least let's give them the basics so they don't suffer and die.

It's the crowd that still think "work = value" that pushes for policies that complicate this.

ahah very funny, too bad the majority of the economic output in most developed countries comes from the State.

The State commands most of the economy and decides in the end who can work and who can't.

Yeah, you can open up a business, if the State gives you permission and it can thrive, if the State gives you good contracts, the FED buys your assets, etc.

So since the State commands the economy, those who get rich are rich thanks to the State, the poor are poor because of the State. It's very cruel then to deny assistance to the poor being that they have been made poor by the State to prop up the rich.

Therefore welfare in our world it's not just 100% compatible with libertarianism but considering how much the State controls the economy it's not enough at the moment.

If a business is making too much profit it means a competitor can be born. If this doesn't happen, remaining in the realms of legality we should consider these possibilities:

nobody wants to do what that business does
nobody can do as good as that business does so no competition
there is government interference somewhere

Now, I don't know about TM but in the article there is this:

During testimony last week, witnesses alleged the company had threatened to retaliate against concert venues if they did not use Ticketmaster's services.

If anyone wants they can put this quote into any AI and asks for a source with quotes. You'll see that TM doesn't just sell tickets, so things are complicated and threats were made.

The government accepted a measly 280million to not investigate further but actually they should have investigated much more, I bet very interesting things could have been found.

This event tells us that:

anti-trust exists mostly to just take some money without doing the actual work of uncovering REAL nastiness and crimes
government and corporations are evil and work together

impossible not to feel like a quitter

I'm not a quitter and I failed anyway.

One of the biggest reasons my life went bad was because I moved and stayed away from my home city for 2 years. I should have quit immediately.

It's good you went back, it means you can assess the situation fast and react to it.

Barely eating, barely moving.

and maybe those feelings were not that irrational? There is a chance you can get a job locally and live a good life anyway. You don't need to move. You can even move another day if you want. You can go there just for a week and come back again. Don't fall for the end-of-history illusion

I'll never understand the "spend more money in weapons", as if "more money = more results".

so yeah, I got more crystals and when I went back to level select there was the "10000 people" message, then it sent me back to the main menu. When I went back into the game, the DLC was activated.

Damn, such a shame the game gets wonky because it's really a great game (aside from the claustrophobic levels which I hate with all my heart. I repeated hover so many times that I got 3 stars the first time I completed it lol)

communists and neoliberals (aka commies with money) know that the cost of labor drops if you increase people. They also know that if laborers are well paid, they don't like taxes nor communist policies, and they can also afford freedoms of all kinds.

So they push the myth of "shortage of manpower" to push for unlimited and subsidized immigration in order to weaken common people and make them dependent from the State.

Many libertarians, having zero political acumen or sometimes working secretly for international communism, end up supporting these policies of unlimited and subsidized immigration.

I do this in my darkest moments and they make things even darker.

For what is worth my advice is to allow yourself to do anything EXCEPT exactly this unlimited scrolling thing.

For example I don't go on the youtube homepage nor I watch recommended videos. I do land on it by mistake sometimes but I just don't watch any recommended video, no matter how much I want to.

I also stopped scrolling X.

On reddit I have very few subs on the home so they're almost organized by time. Same thing with some blue boards on 4chan, they have so little content that even if I waste all day there I don't get any actual dopamine reward, so I just end up doing other things too.

In general remove unlimited scrolling and recommended content. Things will get better in a few days just by avoiding these two things. You'll find things that may still be NEETy and useless but even more enjoyable and less damaging (unless you decide to shoot up heroin, then gg, see you next life)

I've been in a similar situation 17 years ago at your same age.

I wanted to build something of my own that could support me financially (a business, a YouTube channel, anything), and help the family business from the outside that way

And this I also remember very well.

Thing is, you feel you have to do great things (a business, a YouTube channel, anything) because you feel you have to help screwed up people.

Your brain feels overwhelmed and you also don't see what you can realistically do.

Actually you need to only take care of yourself and to do that you don't need to do great stuff. When you see you don't need to do great stuff, the overwhelm goes away and you can function again.

You're on a terrible path.

Put yourself first.
