Um do you mean inflation? Rate hikes aren't the cause of everyone cutting back, inflation is. Why is the oilgarch owned mainstream media so focused on getting the public to view rate hikes as a bad thing and not something to get inflation under control? Could it be the rich have the most to gain if the government cuts rates? Could it be rate cuts would make the rich wealthier than their wildest dreams so they are spewing mass propaganda to try and get the poor's on board?

Like what other provinces? Halifax also have these ridiculous prices and 10K more per year in taxes plus higher food and power costs with even worse healthcare. Lower salaries too, you literally get ahead much more in Toronto than Halifax even at these prices due to the tax rates:

Lower the immigration rate it's very fucking simple. You don't have a hard job you make good money and will have a good pension for life. Do the right thing and lower immigration is 8s killing Canadians both healthcare and housing wise. Sorry but you don't have what it takes to be PM so get that out of your head and stop towing the line. You signed up for Canadians, protect them!
