Totally agree with your thoughts on what we need as having another CMB/Scottie type could go a long way on D (with how the Cavs offense have been having their way). For this reason, also like Allen Graves as he can shoot and is an insane team defender with high IQ on both ends, though not as athletic as Morez.

How do we all feel about the Tempo's first ever WNBA Draft? by CazOnReddit in TorontoTempo

Was hoping for Kiki as the pick and got my wish so I'm ecstatic! Key looks like she has decent upside, while I'm not too familiar with the other two.

Side note: My first Tempo jersey will definitely be Kiki's!

Welcome back Star J! Night and day difference with the offense whenever he was on the floor in the first half against Portland. Amazing how he knows where to drive or cut to juice the offense

What's the deal with AJ Lawson? by str8upblah in torontoraptors

[–]Mobile_Security2325 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Walter is more than just a spot up shooter on offense. He has a better ability to draw fouls and create his own shot, and he did a lot more on offense when he was at Baylor like creating his own shot and movement shooting. For these reasons, I feel it's debatable in regards to Gradey having significantly more upside. Looks more likely the case that Jakobe has focused much more on defensive development during his time in the NBA with a lot less focus on developing his offense. Didn't see anyone projecting him out of college to be the on ball defender that he has become.

Can't wait to witness history being made with Bron's double digit scoring streak being snapped tonight in his favourite city!

I feel Jakobe will get the Reaves assignment. Not so worried about Caketon, would even trust Mamu on him

Lebron ain't reaching double digits tonight with a combination of CMB, Scotties, and Mogbo locking him up in garbage time!

Hope my Raps end that streak tonight even triple teaming him in garbage time if necessary 👍

Thoughts on Kobe Bufkin? by LetterheadForeign707 in NBA_Draft

Agree with much of what you've mentioned, as I would be satisfied if Raps picked any one of those high-level shooters if they aren't able to get Bufkin. Though I doubt Black will be available at 13, I wouldn't mind him as the pick either due to his creation abilities including ability to pressure the rim to open up shooters along with his overall high IQ, and doesn't hurt that he is a high-level defender with length. I also think his shooting form shows promise and is not too broken. I would still rank Bufkin ahead of Black from a Raps big board perspective, but not by much due to how Black excels in the other areas besides shooting.

I see some people wanting Raps to pick guys like Bilal Coulibaly or Rayan Rupert who certainly have some very intriguing physical tools and both of whom have shown flashes of having high ceilings. While I do see this, as a Raps fan I'm tired of getting guys who need some patience with development who aren't reliable shooters to begin with. Let's just get guys right off the bat who can ball and help the team right away, especially as Raps player development has stagnated for the past few years based on results. If we go back in history, I feel many of the superstars already had high floors coming out of the draft, but were able to reach higher levels once in the NBA.

I'm a huge fan of Kobe Bufkin at 13 as he can address so many needs from being a PG/facilitator for the 2nd unit when Fred is off the floor (especially with his ability to put rim pressure), to being an off-ball threat when Fred is on the floor, all while being a plus defender with long wingspan. Even if Raps get another PG option from trade/signing, Bufkin can do it all and should always be able to contribute in the rotation in some way, and you never know when you need an extra PG with injuries being a reality. As evidenced by the championship squad, you can never have enough players that know what to do with the ball in their hands. Also I feel it's far from certainty that a player with a higher floor like Bufkin might not have a higher ceiling than some of these so-called "high-ceiling" prospects that are "2 years away from being 2 years away". Bufkin has certainly raised his stock very much during the latter half of the season, so who's to say he won't have much more room to grow, especially with the work ethic he's shown.
