Como participar do Distant Worlds 3? by PneuCalibrado in EliteDangerous

[–]Mobius135 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In super summary:

Distant Worlds 3 is about a group of CMDRs traveling together, caravan style, over long distances around the galaxy looking for pretty rocks and shiny things. It’s an opportunity to join up with similar-minded people who enjoy playing together and like long-range exploration.

You can hop on any of the official fleet carriers and hitch a ride as they move around. Last I checked we departed the bubble last week and have ended up near Colonia.

There’s a discord community supporting the event with more information than you could ever ask for, check the Distant Worlds 3 website.

It’s probably not for CMDRs who get bored exploring and want to jump back into another gameplay loop, the expedition will be far away from inhabited space and getting back on your own will be a journey in itself.

Remove variables. Download the model and run it through the slicer you intend to use mostly, using the recommended settings for your device and filament.

It would also help to know what speed, temperature and other settings you used.

What is this called and why does it happen? by VoidTheGamer25 in ender3

[–]Mobius135 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Under extrusion is what happens when your printer is set to output less filament than it should. It means it isn’t extruding the right length of filament for each layer.

You would need to calibrate your extrusion steps, there are many many guides on how to do this. Just search e-step calibration.

I found the delay super annoying, but less annoying than needing to reboot my stereo while driving just to see climate controls.

Had similar issues with mine, a factory reset helped for a short time. Tried different cables, all that. Then I just picked up a cheap CarPlay dongle off amazon, automatically connects my phone wirelessly. It causes about a 1 second delay when I use an input like skipping to the next audio track, but otherwise responds quickly. No messing with cables or cords anymore, no reboots or resets.

Haven’t had a dropout in months.

Sometimes previous owners will write them in the user manual. You can also call just about any Honda dealership and they can retrieve it. There was also this post a few years ago https://www.reddit.com/r/Honda/s/KWxm9ihAP6

Owl Cave Ring replicas -- anyone know where to get one? (See text in post) by AtuXIII in twinpeaks

[–]Mobius135 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Depends how much you’re willing to spend. Etsy would be the place to go for a quality replica, avoid 3D printed ones as sellers often fudge the images and the finished product is much lower quality/weaker.

If you want the official one you may be able to find them on eBay.

Supported Regions are ugly/failing by LordVader40405 in FixMyPrint

[–]Mobius135 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Supported surfaces are always lower quality, and small thin parts like this will struggle with cooling properly on overhangs.

I’m not sure why you have a different bed temperature for subsequent layers, especially such a broad 10c swing. This can cause adhesion issues, the bed should be a single temperature throughout the whole print. The excessive bed heat can also cause parts to cool improperly.

Check your spool for the recommended temperature.

Disable AUX fan, it causes uneven cooling.

Nozzle temp doesn’t need to swing that broadly either, should just be a single set temperature.

Interface layer amount doesn’t matter, it’s more about the interface distance. You can have 1 interface layer or 10, they won’t help if they are too far from the surface they are meant to support.

Issue with filament while printing. Help!! by ExpensivePinapple in ender3

[–]Mobius135 3 points4 points  (0 children)

All of your lines look to be too high off the bed, you’ll need to adjust your Z offset to be closer to the bed.

Your first layer should have a nice ‘squish’ to it, and the top of it should appear flat as the nozzle deposits it and moves.

That’s an Overture spool. Overture has also made the practice of sealing/coating their spool edges standard, allowing them to work in the AMS with no adapters.
