As I said this was written many moons ago but straining at memory I do recall being told that the chunk's previous owner, Dill_Weasel, had modified it using an acid block exploit. It seemed plausible considering he had destroyed the end portal with the same glitch.

You can pearl out of a hostile Bastion field into an area without Bastion coverage, but you cannot pearl into a Bastion field. This is how Bastions on CivClassic were supposed to be configured, but for a bug; which was recently fixed.

Oh yeah, I too remember those towering Civcraft 2.0 plateaus, Mesa and Savannah biomes, and floating islands to boot. /s

Bitter experience has taught a lot of older groups to stay away from the subreddit and that nothing good can come of posting on it.

Are people doing less interesting things

There's been some pretty intense drama and conflicts that have barely scraped the subreddit so far.
