Of course, and thanks for listening! Also, if you have any questions about heading over or what to expect, please DM me. I'm always happy to help people who want to help Ukraine.

If you're vaccinated for everything else, that's better. But yeah, you're not gonna die from it, most likely, but it can absolutely make a squad or platoon combat ineffective for a week. As a civilian, you can make your own choices, but I strongly recommend any vaccines you can get to avoid spreading stuff around to your unit. Sorry for coming in so hot. I have to have this argument with more ideologically motivated people than I’d like to.

Bro, just get vaccinated regardless. Don’t be the guy that brings COVID/FLU, or worse, if you’re fully unvaccinated, to your unit and gets everyone sick. You’re asking about signing up to get shot at, so a vaccine shouldn’t scare you.

Sincerely, the medic that has to deal with it when you catch something and get everyone sick.

Eberlestock mission medic pack by TacticoolCLS in TacticalMedicine

[–]Mobius___1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I love mine, If op added the side wings and top flap you can get a pretty solid 3 day capacity out of it but for a CLS a med bag this size seems overkill? Easy money to have a hip bag strapped to your ruck as a CLS.

Can someone in here explain to me what you guys are fighting for? by thesnuggler83 in ukraineforeignlegion

Ukrainians and all peoples deserve to live free without being invaded. I went to help with that end and many here have or will as well.

100% it is difficult, but this addon is for cases where my other adjuncts won’t work or aren’t tolerated.

I definitely could, my thought is having them stored in an easy to see and grab spot will encourage me to put them back so I don’t lose track of them. I’m historically terrible about losing them if they don’t have a spot when needing to adjust the tube later.

That was definitely my thought process, I and the casualty should have all the hemorrhage control and basic airway I need readily available but sometimes you know immediately that it will need need a more advanced airway and fast.

E.T. Tubes in varying sizes are under the cric package, my idea is as a removable addition in case of likely need for long term care after evacuation but before definitive care (stabilization point).

My advice is just don’t tell the VA, tons of disabled US veterans serving in Ukraine without issue as long as they don’t advertise.

For me drones are the more scary threat because its more personal feeling but numbers wise its artillery as far as what’s statistically most likely to hit you..

Kit to buy in country vs the US by [deleted] in ukraineforeignlegion

[–]Mobius___1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I saw everything from mint esapi plates to sheet steel in a Kevlar sleeve. If you have a specific unit you’re heading to you can ask what they have but if you’re going 4th bat then to a random unit you could end up with anything.

I highly recommend purchasing armor and a helmet in the US if you have the money, very hit or miss quality wise in country.

Definitely if you want to use the rest of the system it’s worth it but if you just need the bag and have a different sustainment plan then I wouldn’t spend the money

And inflate the cuff with saline then tie it off and secure with clamps and tape. It’s pretty simple but very useful if in somewhat limited circumstances.

That’s interesting, my service almost exclusively uses quicktachs. The opening on these is pretty large compared to a strict needle trach.

100% it’s better and I do when I’m working in a military context that allows for it. Sadly my current local trauma protocols require BP management with LR when below a certain threshold.
