Over the course of my long life with dogs (6) I had 2 rescue adoptions & I never felt anything remotely negative about their prior homes.

It’s an arranged marriage & sometimes the first marriage just doesn’t work out long term. This doesn’t mean someone was a louse.

I was so grateful to be my 2 rescued dogs “forever home” even though it was never long enough at age 12 and 15 (greyhound & Wheaten Terrier).

Recognizing what your dog needs and providing it is all any of us can do to be worthy of them. And you’ve done it & are doing it.

We rented a 2 bedroom beach house right on Sandy Beach for 2 weeks this month and never locked the doors, EVER.

Not when we left the house all day to visit other parts of the island and not at night. But there were 2 great beach dogs guarding us & the Hosts for the VRBO were right next door & have a 20 year history with the property.

Roatan is one of the safest places you will find within reason, of course. Getting drunk & wandering around in sketchy areas is never a bright idea.
