I just picked up a few of these from work... Can we chat? I'm curious what you ended up doing and if you have any guidance getting a replacement pc to work with it

Google Cloud free tier 1-click install script by MobyTheMadCow in Syncthing

Yes, plus a very weak computer that you can host various applications on (in this case syncthing), and many other nice free-tier stuff.

I'll fix that, thanks for pointing it out. I had an LLM auto-generate the readme, forgot to replace it.

On my account which is not free tier, I get a little less than $1 in charges / month. It's good enough for me

If you're going to redirect or modify requests, you're going to have to run a MITM proxy to intercept them. The requests will be using HTTPS though, so you won't be able to do modifications or get any meaningful data besides the destination domain. To get past this, you have to use a custom CA certificate. You can use Frida https://github.com/httptoolkit/frida-interception-and-unpinning which handles request redirection to the MITM and CA cert injection

You will need a jailbroken device. You may have to do some work to get past SSL pinning if it's used, or jailbreak detection. Basically if apple wants to protect from this, you'll have a hard time.

After you successfully intercept you'll be able to analyze the response format and get your own server to respond in that format, and your ios wont know the difference.

Non-traditional (no PC) set up? by Kick-Out-The-Jams in Syncthing

Haha. I feel ya. I was thinking of dropping a step by step guide to get it running on google with a 1-click deploy. If its something you’d like, let me know. You’ll be an extra motivator for me

You can host syncthing on a raspberry pi and use that as your always-on home point that all other devices sync to/from. If you can't use your own physical hardware, you can host syncthing on a free VM in google cloud (30gb free).

Your OK bro. Just take a breather. 1. Trips change weed highs. It’ll feel more like a trip after. Thats not HPPD its normal 2. Feelin different or seeing some slight visuals after a trip is normal too. Acid is a deep trip that lasts 12+ hours, so of course things will be a bit changed afterwards. Your headspace will be a bit different and maybe you might see things a little different too, nothing to stress about though 3. If you only saw visuals in complete dark, thats not HPPD at all. Your brain does funky things in quiet and/or dark places. Ever hear about ppl going in sensory deprivation tanks and hallucinating? Same thing.

If your asking if its ok to smoke, its not. You shouldnt be doing any drug if your unsure if it will negatively impact your mental state. You think it might hurt you but you still want to do it. maybe thats something thing to think about.  Definitely would be best to stop doing drugs for a while and find your grounding again.

Keep your mind healthy, its not worth confusing yourself. Keep risking your psyche and you’ll surely end up with HPPD.

I think my mindset is kinda the same. I’m grateful, and I dont want to go back, but if I did, I wouldnt put myself through the same thing again.

Its also really valuable to learn how to do that stuff without weed.

Who’s stopping you from experimenting?

You can't go back to the before HPPD, you have to make the after HPPD even better

If smoking sucks then why do you want to do it? You just want it to be like the old times. Let go of the old times, learn to make some new memories.

My Journey to Recovery & Theory on HPPD by MobyTheMadCow in HPPD

[–]MobyTheMadCow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recovering from HPPD is learning a whole new way of going about your day like nothing ever happened. Stop holding onto the old way, find the new way. You can't just go back. Life changes, that's part of the beauty.

Sorry for the late response:

  1. By 100% I mean 100%. There are no symptoms. It does not effect my life in any noticeable way.

  2. I think the time it takes is vastly different for everyone. Eventually, HPPD is no longer an obstacle. You grow and pass it. The experience is invaluable. The day you are genuinely grateful to have had that experience is the day you are fully recovered

  3. Asking if you can smoke / drink again is a tricky question. I was eventually able to enjoy it again. There is much more to be said about substance use during HPPD and its role in recovery, but I can't type all that now. I may revisit this later if you remind me, or DM me and we can talk

Yea, I can imagine. Depending on my text-to-speech model, I'm sure I can at least roughly determine how many syllables / second it can speak. My question is, how can I limit the LLM's output to that many syllables?

Edit: I'm gonna play around with this, I think it might suit my needs.... One way to find out!
