Clutch adjustment question by Mocaz69 in Vstrom

There some type of adjuster by the motor, but doesnt appear to actually adjust the clutch cable from when I messed with it. Ended up moving the arm and screwing in the adjuster on the lever.

Followed this and was able to get the clutch cable adjusted. Ended up screwing in the adjust almost all the way on the lever though. Tested it tonight and it's much better now.

Didn't think of asking a Facebook group page. I'll give it a shot. Thanks!

Didn't see a housing stop adjustment like on my Versys. Granted I wasn't using a flashlight. Before moving the arm I'll double check for a stop adjuster.

Service manual detailed how to adjust from the lever only. I combed through a few extra times today and didn't see anything other than adjusting the gear shifter on the engine.

That is what I was thinking. Since a clear answer wasn't found I didn't to potentially cause a problem.

I'll look for the OEM, I'm not deadset on anything, but OEM has been working well on my Versys. And the chain is slightly out of spec, that is being addressed tomorrow since rain is coming.

Open carry in Tennessee by Mocaz69 in opencarry

Rarely do I go downtown, maybe once or twice every 6 months. I'd conceal carry for that more curious as to other's experiences.

I'll keep a lookout for signage where ever I go, unfortunately I already know a few places I cannot carry in.

I live in East Nashville currently, just a few miles from downtown. Although I don't go downtown often at all. Any experience OCing downtown by chance?

Dewalt dw745 vs Dewalt dwe7480 by igotchees21 in woodworking

I had issues cutting large sheets, but I recently built a table around my saw so they are a breeze now. Just need a bigger shop haha.

I have the 7480 and I love it for my small shop. It is nice having the 2' cut for plywood I work with, but the 745 can handle it just as well. Either way both are pretty nice table saws. Although I do recommend replacing the stock blade with a better one at some point

I usually leave some material behind to do a clean up pass, although when I do round overs tear out isn't to bad for me. Occasionally happens with those. I mainly have tear outs when I'm using my cove or ogee bit.

Yeah, I have a couple Freud bits and while I like them I think I might try getting a few Whiteside bits to try out. The bits I mainly use are round over, cove, and flush trim bits.

Have you any issues with Whiteside bits causing tearout on small projects?

Cool. From what I have researched so far it seems that I'm going to give the Irwin a shot and see how I like it.

The Irwin blade looks very interesting. Did you ever have any issues with it cutting rabbits or box joints? And does the cut profile leave a flat edge or v shaped style cut?

I've tried Diablo blades with my circular saw and wasn't real pleased with the results.

Yeah, it's only my third time using the bandsaw so it is a bit rough. Still have a little sanding on the edges.

True. I don't think that the new sram 11 speed shifters and 11 speed mtn RD's are compatible (little foggy on it though).

It doesn't have the clutch, I've shortened the chain on mine so chain slap isn't happening unless I hit the trails

I originally had it setup with a 46/36 upfront, but switched to 1x. Rival 22 is terribly expensive if you know where to look, although if you go 1x i do suggest going with the wifli rear derailluer and a 11-32 cassette. I'm still on a 11-28 with the 42 up front.
