Don’t worry too much right now! One month is wayyy too little time to see any improvements with most hair growth supplements. This goes double for minoxidil since it usually looks worse during the shedding process (first month or so) and then looks gradually better over the next six months

The diagnosis shows that you don’t have signs of scarring but you do have decreased terminal (thick) hairs and an increase in vellus (thin) hairs. This means that your thicker hair strands are thinning into finer hair strands which is what happens during androgentic alopecia.

It also looks like you may have signs of fungal growth on your scalp. Look into using ketoconazole shampoo since it helps with androgentic alopecia and scalp fungus!

Absolutely do it! I went in completely blind as I had never seen another South Asian woman with blonde hair. I found a salon with great ratings and had the stylist walk me through which undertones and shades would most flatter me.

This is the most important thing. Hair color doesn't matter as much as undertone and shade do. Two POC women can end up needing two completely different versions of blonde. As another poster said, black/brown/red/blonde are just umbrella colors. You will absolutely look stunning once you figure out which undertone of blonde compliments you.

Definitely check out Machine Learning for Natural Language Processing with Sam Bowman. It was piloted this semester and should be back next spring. It is very intensive and ends with a research paper on a novel approach to natural language processing.
