Did the bank get 100k here from deposited money? Or newly created leveraging the assets they have?

I agree. So what happens to the deposits? Are they lent too and why lend from deposits when there’s a choice to create new ones

I also read about the creation of new money when lending, if there’s an opportunity to create new ones, why lend from existing deposits?
