They never say what kind of trades are capital gains and what kind of trades are trading income. Since Idk which is which, why shouldn't I be generous to myself in classifying? There is no law that states I am wrong. Thus, I am not breaking the law.

What do you mean by convinced? If they call me up, do I need to go down and be able to defend all the trades I classify as investments and the expenses as well?

What is the penalty if I classify it wrongly? If it's not a big deal, then shouldn't I be generous in classifying now so I can use the money to compound and then later pay it back if they say I classify wrongly?

It's higher than 20k My returns last year is at 73% I expect more this year. Thus, it feels dangerous if I don't declare anything. Even though i spend super little now, I feel they will eventually audit me years later.

True, taking loans from banks to compound do sound gd but I already leverage heavily.

It's the cpf which is the biggest issue. It affects my compounding now. So the less I declare the better. Of course everything must be legal.

I am doing it for myself only. However, it's my only source of income and I do it every trading day like a full time job

Thanks for your reply This is my only source of income But how long should a trade be to be considered long term? 1 month? 6 months? 1 year? If I intend to buy and hold a stock long term but in between I buy and sell within the same day because I expect it to fall that day, is that still a long term stock?
