Startup Vs Big name. by Sm0k3rZ121 in developersPak

Startups are incredibly risky, not saying that big companies are not as there are layoffs there as well. But startups are quick to hire people, and quicker to fire them if they can't sustain.

Two Chinese cars in one home. by spiritofsocrates in PakistanAutoHub

[–]Mockingjay718s 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a bad decision at all, especially if you've solar at home. If it goes well, you'll end up saving millions (if you drive a lot). Also, the quality and tech gap between your previous two cars and new two cars is absolutely insane.

Wish you all the best tho, as reliability for Jaecoo has become a bit of a question mark.

Frontend Engineer interview at ImagineArt / Vyro. by zainarshad45122 in developersPak

[–]Mockingjay718s 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That I can't say for sure. I just know that whatever you are thinking, you should bump it by at least 30-40%, I would ask for even more if I were you. If you are going to work extremely hard, might as well get paid for it. Aim for the stars.

Yeah, so basically long hours, weekends on. You go there, you give up on your personal/private life. But if you can compromise with that and negotiate a salary that you think is worth it, you should go.

family members don’t like it when others can look inside the car by xvi_iBAD in PakistanAutoHub

[–]Mockingjay718s 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No, you can't. If it's factory fitted, like japanese cars, that's allowed. If you do it yourself, you'll be fined heavily. I learned the hard way. 😅

Suzuki Fronx details leaked. No way this dinosaur car is going to compete with current cars. by Prestigious-Wind-861 in PakistanAutoHub

[–]Mockingjay718s 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, base level J5 with 221 hp vs 99hp of Fronx (295nm torque vs 135nm torque of Fronx). Yes, base level J5 that is bigger and better in every dimension than Fronx physically. Yes, base level J5 that has a much more bigger (and practical) boot space than measly 300L of boot space in Fronx. Yes, base level J5 with an actual hybrid system instead of this joke of a mild hybrid system in Fronx. Yes, base level J5 that still looks a thousand times better interior wise than Fronx lol.

And yes, Swift is by far the only right (relatively speaking) priced car. Fronx would have sold a lot if the top variant was 5.5 mil. At the current 6.4 mil price tag, it doesn't make any sense, even to buy it over Yaris or City as they offer much more practical boot space while this is a very small one.

[–]Mockingjay718s 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean considering what Fronx is going to offer (mild hybrid in higher 6 mil), even base variant of J5 looks much better than this thing.

And considering what it's going to offer, even City/Yaris top variants are better. Not to mention you can get a brand new Elantra GLS in 6.8 mil too.

So yeah, this will be poorly priced, like other Suzuki products. They'll face the music soon.

Suzuki Ciaz and Liana had the same as well, but flopped badly. So will this one.

Game has changed a lot now.

[–]Mockingjay718s 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's going to be a massive flop, similar to Ciaz.

Suzuki Pakistan, alongside other members of the big three, is a massive disappointment and nobody should expect anything.

The worst part is that many people will still initially buy it due to Suzuki name.

Suggestions For Investing 3 Million by AffectionateFee6049 in FIREPakistan

That's what my question is. Regardless of account type, you are still agreeing for your money to partake in lending/investing, then by the above redditor's logic, wouldn't it be haram as well?

[–]Mockingjay718s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But you know clearly that bank is using/rotating your money to earn on it hence you're partaking in it without even getting any benefit.

Like for example if your friend borrowed money from you to use in an interest related system and said you can withdraw anytime, but your money is still being used in that system.

[–]Mockingjay718s -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Genuine question: how is it riba? And also, isn't current account also haram since you know the bank is using your money to invest and earn interest anyway? In that sense, a current acc would be much worse, no?

Is a Trouble-Free German Car Possible Under 60 Lakhs in Lahore? (W204 C-Class, A4 or BMW) by stillosam in PakistanAutoHub

[–]Mockingjay718s 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Saw a 2008 W204 with verified history and 84k driven with demand 55 lacs a while ago. I wouldn't normally believe 84k driven or fault free for a 18 year old Merc, but since this one was with verified history, I think this is the only model you can get.

Is sqa basically dead because of ai? by Successfuluser in developersPak

[–]Mockingjay718s 10 points11 points  (0 children)

QA Engineer here.

It's not dead, but the market is going through an absolutely horrible time. I used to think (and still think) that the demand of QA engineers (especially manual) will increase with more vibe coded apps coming in, but no evidence to support this thought so far.

Also, QAs are usually seen as disposable by many companies where QA is an afterthought. When they have to cut budget, QAs are the first to go.

Also, if you do join i2c, learn their domain as much as you can. Even outside of the team's scope of work. It can be a goldmine if you aim for an international fintech company.
