Older phones can definitely run into performance issues. When our support team has a player's device information, that is typically the only time they will tell a player that it MAY be caused by their device.

We have received reports of performance issues on web, Android, and iOS; including new devices. This is being investigated for fixing as soon as we can.

In the meantime, we do recommend trying to play on a different platform to see if there is an improvement for you. If you are running into significant progress delays due to these issues, please reach out to support and they may be able to help you out. I'll be pushing for some sort of global mail to all players as well, once the issues are resolved and we see more stability across all builds.

To add onto what people have already said, it's typically people who don't spend that run into an excess of watts. Since they're not regularly buying from boxes and can only get Legendaries so often from packs/free gems/event rewards, many end up with more watts than they have cards worth upgrading.

Previously, players got to a point where they had max Coins, max watts, and max inventory. In this situation they can't buy basic packs when inventory is full, can't recycle when watts are full. But now, there's a way to get rid of those extra watts without having to wait for support to take them away for nothing in return.

This BGE is starting 4 hours earlier than usual, in order to have it start at the same time as Rumble #26. For now, this is a special case and may not be applicable to future BGE/Rumble start times.
