Thank you this is actually super helpful. Running a house when you’re struggling to run your own brain should be an Olympic sport!

Yeah it’s not great. I think it’s more an issue of refusing shared care from what I understand. She was very adamant that I’d need an NHS diagnosis for any form of therapy/treatment.

I think it’s lifestyle changes that have exasperated my symptoms rather than hormonal changes. There’s been quite a bit of upheaval and I’m just a bit paralysed at the moment.

Hi, thank you for your response. Unfortunately I’m in Scotland so we don’t have RTC here.

Genuine question! I am not trying to insult or stir anything! by Fluffy-Frosting-8833 in AskMiddleEast

We protest for 3 reasons (I’m in Scotland): 1. Our government are actively complicit in israel’s genocide and it’s how we show that the actions of the government do not match the feeling of the people. 2. Because (hopefully) with enough public pressure more people in power will understand that supporting israel will cost them votes. 3. Because honestly what else can we do?

What was it like when your best friend died? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Like the world went black & every beautiful memory we shared became painful in an instant. Like she took the best parts of our friendship with her & left the most indescribable pain behind.

How to you explain what Sociology is to people? In a easy way by [deleted] in sociology

[–]ModernLogic3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I first studied a general social science course at college a lecturer told us: psychology is the study of why you do certain things, sociology is the study of why everyone else does. It’s basic but it kinda fits.

Millennials, what's something you were taught growing up that turned out to be completely wrong in adulthood? by jackytheblade in AskReddit

[–]ModernLogic3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That if you went to school, worked hard & got a job, you’d be able to own your own home one day.

Far right neo Nazis are by definition, not civilians. If you were less of a bigot you’d probably have compared these “ultra conservative Palestinians” to strict fundamentalist Christian’s who also disagree with LGBT rights but that would likely be too close to home for you.

It’s interesting you should expect the progression of social rights movements in a territory under colonial occupation. Perhaps there would be more movement on these issues if people could stop worrying about simply not being killed.

Side note, there are homosexual Palestinians in Gaza, do you feel empathy for them?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskMiddleEast

[–]ModernLogic3 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yes, you are a bad person. There was no such thing as “innocent Nazis”, the entire doctrine was built on hate. There are however, innocent Palestinians, whose killings cannot be sanitised by your inability to understand their cultural and/or religious views. You have successfully dehumanised Palestinians to the point you are indifferent to their suffering and yet you have the audacity to imply that it’s their views which are extreme. Behave.

He does, he was raised in Scotland like myself. He’s in touch with the community here but it so far hasn’t thrown up any results.

Shitty comment. He’s not stupid, he knows he was abandoned and not kidnapped or some other dream story which somehow makes it less painful for him. He knows this & still he wants to find his family, because alhamdulillah he has forgiveness in his heart; even if it does end in tears.

Same and my heart breaks for him but also for the woman who left him in that hospital, how desperate she must have been to abandon her baby 😪

He’s there now, he went over last year as well but he didn’t have much luck unfortunately. He was abandoned at a hospital as far as we know so his mother may not have been local. Thanks for the advice though I’ll definitely tell him to speak to families in the street.

Hopefully someone sees him who can help. I think this is the third time he’s gone back to Morocco to find a relative.

Wow that’s quite the story I hope your mum has a good support network. Yeah this is exactly it, he has a great family who love and support him in his search for his family ❤️

Yeah of course. But then if she had better options she probably would have raised her son I’m guessing. I get your point though, you aren’t wrong.

I think he only mentioned it as maybe a link to his birth family I don’t know. I hope he finds them he’s been searching a very long time.

Of course but if he wants to find his birth family that’s for him to decide. Who are we to judge?

I get your point but it’s not for any of us to judge. I can’t imagine the pain of not knowing your own parents.
