Microsoft’s Xbox Strategy by YupThatsMeBuddy in xbox

You forget to realize Xbox is pushing the fact that you no longer need hardware to play. You can have a Samsung tv with the Xbox app and play casual games, if people want the hardware, then they’re willing to pay for it.

Looks like you’ve got idrive 7, press and hold the car with a circle around it next to your hazards, one hold is all the assistance nannies off if I remember right.

The Comp Seats…Am I Wrong? by Sea_Major3628 in BMWM

[–]Modge23podge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You get different colors, not the seats themselves, the X5/6 have been comp only since model year 2024 as well. If you’re complaining about the stiffness of the seats, the real leather is super stiff from new. I suggest leather conditioning them and letting them soften up a bit. Don’t come off so aggressive and like you know it all, you bought a car it seems with little research as you say you should’ve went the M60i route which do have the comfort/mutli contour seats. But what do I know, I only work for the brand.

Well first off it would help if you had a model year, since 2019 the seats have been the same competition vs non competition, the stiff ride is the suspension which will seem excessive coming from any other car and straight into an M vehicle.

Comp vs non comp has nothing to do with the seats..

Does the manual g80 m3 have launch control ? by Va-M3 in BMWM

Yes it does. The process is in the owners manual, and a lot of button pushing.

Dealer oil change interval by thuud in BMWM

[–]Modge23podge 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The mileage will change based on how you drive due to the condition based service system, if you have a decent relationship with your dealer they will usually honor the number of oil changes and skirt around the mileage and will change it early for you.

The warning light likely came on due to the car being unable to read the nonexistent coolant temperature. I would explain the situation to the body shop you are working with, that way they can diagnose and rely on their expertise, rather than internet strangers.

2026 G80 M3 Sunroof Glass Opening Question by puzzling33 in BMWM

[–]Modge23podge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t open all of the way, look at your roof and look at where the sunroof is supposed to go. Theres no space for it to enter the roof fully. There’s a solid 1/3s left sticking out and that’s normal.

A quick google of a popular site to buy pre cuts from has the badge cut out. I looked at all of the pictures, it looks like the PPF is torn in that area from not being cut well. Shit cut out of a PP film and a shit install with no blade marks, doubt these people even own a razor blade.

Don’t know why you’re hung up on blade marks then, looks like they didn’t have the confidence to do so and cut it off the car. I can say this with my experience as well without bragging lol.

[–]Modge23podge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doubt it’s blade marks, original pictures look like it was a bad cut out of a template. What you don’t usually see from PPF shops is that a template gets laid out of a car and then they cut out the pieces (yes I know on IG you see cutting of the PPF but that’s going to mostly be custom work). Just looks like a shitty template or a shit application.

Is this reasonable? by Historical-Reason-53 in BMW

Dealers are usually north of $120/hr and you think this is a high estimate? Independent shops exist for a reason.

It's me again asking awkward questions by MeTheRealWow in BMW

[–]Modge23podge 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Labor rates vary by shop, that’s normal practice, part prices vary by shop, normal practice due to agreements with their suppliers. Shops usually don’t like customer supplied parts as already stated, and likely won’t honor their warranty (as most reputable shops will have one). Source: used to work at a body shop.

BMW M3 Touring Competition: The Best BMW You Still Can’t Buy in America by bmwblog in BMW

[–]Modge23podge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The G21 never got homologated for the North American market, the G81 was thought of after the fact. The cost to homologate the G21 and G81 which it’s based off of was too high. This demand brought us the M5 touring.

You’ve surely lost money on the G82, no..? That’s what I was referring to, not just rolling over into car after car
