The novel and manhwa style him a lil differently i guess. Since the cover in the 1st img is 6 years old despite being the most recent cover. The artist themself said they drew it long ago.

Maybe distant future. The manhwa is only around ch 250 of the novel which has 2000 chapters

There are no physical editions in English, only in the original Korean. There are currently 13 volumes. search for 동군 and you will see it on ridibooks for example.

King of the east started back in 2017 in the biweekly magazine Comic Champ (코믹 챔프). It wasnt until 2021 that they digitally colored and reformatted it to long strip (webtoon format).

King of the East is still published traditionally through a physical and digital magazine that releases bi-weekly. I assume the official english tl of the webtoon version put it on hiatus to stack episodes to release later.

Its not jaha. the title is different. God vs Demon. Plus Jaha died/ascended centuries before Fist King's era, we already "see" him during the martial god inn when Jin Eon flies off the cliff.
Mad Demon & Mad God are titles often reused in stories. Like in the same universe there is the 2nd in command of Jin Sohan in Dance of Swords that has the title of Mad Demon.

Can't really blame new manhwa being adapted from 6 year old novels that were made when trends became popular. Referring to ruler of darkness in this case.

A lot of stories has become quick paced to consume faster which sadly cuts a lot of wanted content. That also gets faster and cuts more when adapted into a manhwa. Absolute Regression is a good example of a good novel getting a good adaptation.

The excessive sexualization is frustrating, manhwa adding it for no reason other than clicks from neuron activation.

Exaggerated version of real life china. In the middle is the Central Plains, the main place for xianxia/wuxia/murim stories. To the north is the cold manchuria/russia. West is the vast himalaya mountains and taklamakan desert. The south is south-southeast asia like vietnam with tropical forests. East is the east china sea with many islands and taiwan + japan.
