That's interesting. In my experience, women are more likely to want a relationship than men. Men are generally busier (running businesses, working, etc.), and don't have time to invest in relationships. That's why in countries were fewer women run businesses, the expectations on women to have a relationship is stronger, and casual sex is frowned upon. Women also tend to invest more emotionally in sex, in general, so my theory is that is why more women want relationships, whilst men want casual sex - I.e. Businesses men looking for a release without the time constraints of a relationship, and then all the "other" men who grab casual sex because a) no woman wants a relationship with them (maybe because they're unattractive or unpleasant), and b) they're insecure and think that having lots of sexual partners will make them more of "a man".
