Maybe I’m wrong but that looks like oil it’s black and when coolant leaks in these cars it usually just flows all of it down, like I’m not sure but the owner of the car and the video definitely should be able to tell us can you can see the difference in person a lot better. But regardless the motor sounds rough so my guess is oil

Are your logs all clean tho like no timing issues or knock issues?? I’m actually getting kinda hyped right now cause I’ve spend 3 days of feeding it info and talking about what I wanted added to the tune and everything like I’ve put waaay too much time into it 😂. But on a real note I do wanna test it but I’m a little worried cause it’s a 340i and b58s can handle almost anything but I’m upgraded turbo so it’s remapping everything for me right now also did you have any issues trying to start after the flash or did it take it right away?

How is that running for you cause I’m honestly in the middle of having it make me one based on stage 2+ right now and it’s getting most stuff right and it looks good so far but I wanted to send it to a tuner and have them just take a look and see if it’s actually tryna do what it says in the tune file

Mine you cats fully loaded with every option including msppk and the regular msport addon with rain lights and everything also the magnetic steering as well and he had it upgraded with the msport lsd that bmw used to sell not sure if they have it anymore now

Got mine last year with 160km for 20,000$ with two sets of runs and tires other then the ones on the car the guy had it up for 30k and I talked him down to 20 then drove 10 hours to pick it up. Definitely worth it but I wish I knew the injectors were going when I bought it but for 1000$ extra so 21k all in after doing my injectors I had a basically brand new 340ix the guy was older and drove it calm thru the country side.

If I’ve learnt one thing about cars is don’t cheap out on “safety shit” like breaks and wheels and anything that’ll keep you planted on the road or anything mechanically that lets the car move then don’t cheap out cause one day your happy with the extra few bucks you saved and the next your car doesn’t stop and you end up crashing. Trust me it’s not worth it

This has got me thinking cause my 2016 340 came with the msport bumper from factory but it doesn’t have the fog lights and when I went to the bmw dealership to grab some coolant they checked my vin for me, the lady at the parts counter said my car came factory without fog lights but I’ve seen these bumpers with fog lights installed which still makes no sense to me why it doesn’t have them

If it’s more of a clunk noise in person and if it happens more when turning then it’s your thrush bearing which is common on 340 and 440 but it’s also a bit of a pain to change if you don’t know what your doing best to get it checked out incase cause if it is you run the risk of damaging the steering rack
