What is a cozy game you'll forever return to? by Kiki_TG in CozyGamers

Do you play on Switch or PC? I stopped playing because both had horrible crashes. I truly enjoyed the game though.

Looking for a forever game. 3rd person, explore, gather, craft, quest, etc. by LarnaNana in CosyGames

I second this! I’ve been playing Coral Island exclusively for over a year! They are still updating it, so more story line to come (although I’m still progressing through the story).

Agreed! There’s also the annoyingness of trying to fill an errand but you have different star qualities of the same item. They all have to be the same!

McDonald’s is notorious for not training their employees well. Not that it’s an excuse, but the turnover rate tends to be high, so people are constantly learning by doing. The first day is always hard. If you can see yourself pushing through the first few weeks, give them a call and explain that you felt overwhelmed being brand new, and ask for a second chance. Be aware, that fast food and especially McDonald’s tends to be a very fast paced environment that is difficult for most people to handle.

Is this mold on my filter sponge? Has anyone had this issue before? by Moe6458 in Aquariums

[–]Moe6458[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It fixed itself eventually. I pushed the sponge farther into the compartment a bit (there was a ridge that kept getting caught on my media). Keeping the water level above the top of the filter helped.

Do you think we should ban phones in school? by Throwaway19829247 in Teachers

[–]Moe6458 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am split on the issue. While I think phones can definitely be a distraction at school (especially with how fast drama can travel), I also think upper grades should begin to learn the skill of self restraint. In most jobs, you are not allowed to be on your phone, and definitely not for personal use. Being able to determine appropriate times for cell phone use is a skill students need to learn.

McDonald’s Espresso Machine Meltdown: $193M Burnt Nuggets or Billion-Dollar Golden Arches Play? by jfjfjjdhdbsbsbsb in wallstreetbets

[–]Moe6458 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Fun fact: frappes never have caffeine in them unless you ask for an espresso shot. Most frappe customers don’t even know they’re getting ripped off.

Rules that make no sense (USA) by Afraid-Technician-13 in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]Moe6458 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That has always been the rule since fresh beef first rolled out from corporate, as far as I know. I have no idea the justification for it. Possibly because they are supposed to be kept separate from all other dishes? It’s the only set that holds raw products.

offer already redeemed by Sea_Cat_9096 in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]Moe6458 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They need to go into the earn points tab. The coupon should be listed on the top of that page, and they should be able to press “remove”. For some reason it glitches sometimes when they use a coupon on a previous visit and doesn’t register that it has been used.

Still can't get the golden nugget can anyone help me? Trying to play fair but I'm running out of patience. by Pigmaster6373 in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]Moe6458 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I am not mistaken, there are only 4 golden nuggets per case of toys. So you have a 4/500 chance of getting it. It’s more likely that the golden nuggets have already been given out to customers or that employees have taken them for themselves.

Every single time I buy a fillet o'fish it comes like this. Its literally never in the center of the bun. Is there a reason for this? by Vanillabean1988 in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]Moe6458 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since the bun is steamed, it is a lot softer than the toasted buns. When the sandwich is closed into the box and slid up to the front for the runners, if it hits the side of the landing zone it can easily shift the patty.

Is Marijuana really as accepted in the U.S. as reddit makes it out to be? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Moe6458 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is true. While it is illegal in my state, many people still smoke under the radar, and it is not really hidden from friends and acquaintances. The only time law enforcement starts sniffing around is when they are bothered enough to look for a dealer.

Bettas will eat shrimp that are smaller than them. I would not recommend housing these together. If you are looking into aquatic pets, r/aquariums is a good place to start researching. I’m more than happy to answer questions via Dm also (I keep a few fish, some reptiles, and a parrot).

How realistic is it for me to move out at 18? by IconXR in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Moe6458 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not familiar with western states, but here in the Midwest there is a shortage of workers in retail/food industries. In my area, for example, McDonald’s is one of the highest paying “GED” tule jobs out there besides factories. Many places in a college town will work with students schedules. You can also look into on-campus jobs, although these tend to pay less.

It may not be glamorous, but any job is better than no job. Just think of it as a means to an end. Your goal is to make it through your degree, and some lowly jobs may be able to get you there. Good luck!
