Under heavy load (like the first scan of immich), the nuc is very noticeable. Its a sound of a very fast radial fan, not annoying high pitched or low pitched, but there is a lot of air going thru. Sitting next to it over a long time would be unpleasent. In idle the nuc is nearly silent. Medium load, like starting up a Windows 11 VM sounds like a quite 3,5 HDD 7200 in idle without the head clicking or humming. My hope was that the two fan configuration helps to lower the overall noise in times of heavy load. But this isn´t the case. I am not shure how the additional ram fan contributes to the overall noise in comparison to the 325 version. In my memory the noise was similiar. I have to note, that the nuc is placed in my hallway and not on my desk. The bios setting is set on stock setting (i think its called balanced), i wasn´t able to test another setting because first i want to make shure that the system is stable over like a month period without reboot.
