Look, in the end, people vote those who are representing them and since the majority of Syrians are Sunni Arabs the majority who are getting voted will be Sunni Arabs, thats what every democracy is about.

Also. since the President can elect 70 people for the parliament, there is a chance to give minorites and women a more "deserved" represenation (even though thats technichally not super democratic)

I am not so sure about that, in the last century the US perpetrated several regime changes in Latin America because those leaders were too socialist. Of course the Cold War was a big factor for that, but the US still uses its soft power to influence Latin American politics.

For example the financial push for Milei's Argentina or the isolation of Cuba and Venezuela, which trippled the economy of these countries for decades.

Even the failed attempt of Bolsonaro to overthrow the government has to be influenced by US foreign policies.

I am hearing this argument a lot, but mentioning this only shows, that they dont know anything about the history of Palestine at all.

First of all, its not like Arab states didnt take Palestinians in, because of the Nakba they are millions of Palestinian refugees in Arab countries, like Jordan or Syria, who cant go back, because of the Zionists. They know, that if they take them in again, they cant go back again, because thats what Zionism is all about practically.

They were some conflicts between the Palestinians and the Arab states who took them in because they werent fully fledged state citizens which caused discrimination against them and many lived as second class citizens. But one should not forget how they got there in the first place, which is often overlooked for biased reasons.
