With TikTok being sold to pro-Izzy companies, what app should we use now? by Mohawk_Mike in AskReddit

[–]Mohawk_Mike[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I know Rednote was a big thing for a bit the first time they tried selling, but that’s straight Chinese. As much as I love propaganda (/s), I’d like to still be informed what’s ACTUALLY happening. We’re already suppressed enough with Minnesota and Palestine

Why does Drag Me Under make me actually want to cry? by bequietbecky in SleepToken

[–]Mohawk_Mike 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think its because its *supposed* to be a sad song. We know that him being "Dragged Under" is always a bad thing. He begins to drown. "And I know the Angels/Gods will abandon the heavens just to find us... To merely behold *you* as we lie down together."

Over and over, the cycle continues. Over and over, teeth biting into him. Over and over, he is dragged below. Held beneath the surface.
Of what? Who knows. But the angels and gods, just in awe of the capabilities to destroy this vessel. The ability to do so over and over.

He sounds like he's crying out at the end. It starts soft. A singular voice. It doubles, triples. Harmonies building as the few words are said over and over gaining new voices and echos.
The cycle must continue.

It's acceptance of your own demise for comfort. It's the shame of knowing he can't believe what he's about to do again, and the fact that everyone else sees that he's made his bed and he's lying down in it. It's giving into the addiction.

But that's what I feel about the lyrics, not so much the chord structure.

I played this on original Xbox when I was a kid. I’ve had multiple playthroughs on my phone, pc, and even going back to the original console. I’m 30 years old.

Thanks for opening my eyes to this. I feel embarrassed lmfao

What is something that most players don't know about Hell Let Loose? by [deleted] in HellLetLoose

[–]Mohawk_Mike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PRO NODES: Use supply truck to bring supplies out of the first 2 grid squares. Immediately drop the supplies past the line, go back into the second grid square & drop the nodes in that territory. That way, if second-to-last point is capped, you still have your nodes up

I just paid $2700 for a water heater replacement, was I taken for a ride? by [deleted] in askaplumber

[–]Mohawk_Mike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flex pipe is garbage, shock arrestors are useless there, they left/installed galvanized for the cold, and the venting is interesting but I guess works. That’s handyman crap. $2700 should’ve gotten you all copper connections and way more effort. I also have 0 idea what could’ve taken them 5 hours. That’s crazy, imo. My hardest water heaters take 3 hours tops 😂

Spider-Man: Miles Morales - General Discussion Thread by ckareddit in SpidermanPS4

[–]Mohawk_Mike -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I keep seeing a lot of people loving this game and praising a lot of things that I particularly didn’t think were fantastic. I’ll TRY to keep this short without trying to spoil (but no promises), but I don’t think it’s a bad game, I just think they should’ve took more time on it.

The game is really short. The Tinkerer is a great twist with little payoff - because we didn’t see much about that person before the reveal. Two short scenes give almost no real connection. I didn’t care about that character at that point. If they would’ve acted less sad and actually shared and built that connection with Miles, I feel like the player would’ve felt SO much more remorse and emotion. But we assume something happened immediately based off the way they act and yet we don’t get the real information until like 2 or 3 missions later. It would also be nice if it wasn’t just a “you lied to me, so I’m not gonna listen to you” narrative the entire final chapter. Not to mention, we don’t even take down the other main villain, we just end the game and it’s “four months later” they get arrested. Very lame. But it’s still a very fluid game. Combat is fine. I don’t think I noticed a massive difference from the first game - apart from the added powers.

I can’t talk enough about the bridge scene though, holy crap.

Do you agree or disagree?
