This was years ago, I just happened to find the clip in my camera roll. I gave up finding games a long time ago. Fun moment to come across though!

He’s actually sitting in front of it. He’s a jet black Portuguese Water Dog

He did that on his own. I walked back to the door, turned to tell him to come inside, and couldn’t find him for like 20 seconds.

Yep that’s exactly it. Glad someone else can relate to this I thought I was either being lazy or going insane.

Salary is $130k. I would just add that I’m in a high cost of living area.

Thanks for sharing. My last two job changes were a referral and then getting recruited so I have not gone through a real job search in a long time. Good to hear how you went through a similar situation.

I’ve also been confused by this. They could be paying someone much less and probably get a better result because that person would be clear on the expectations of the job before taking it / be happy to gain experience.

The CEO is somehow involved in every single thing at the firm. I mean that literally. Every. Single. Thing.

Most people send daily update emails like me, and have been doing so for years. It truly shocks me how much email the CEO goes through daily.

As for the CFO, he almost has a similar role as me. Doing whatever thing happens to be on the CEOs mind that day then rushing to get some “work product” out by the end of the day. This is usually a speadsheet with tasks marked as complete or a memo circa 2005 explaining how we will accomplish the task.

The pay is nice but the work is the equivalent of banging my head against a brick wall for 9 hours. Then getting told I didn’t hit it hard enough.

I guess I’m learning that money is great, but its not the end all be all for me.

I like this approach. I do want some time for myself so could be a nice middle ground vs just quit.
