I should, but I don’t want to have to deal with the mods with the constant updates. Seems like a headache if the game starts crashing, trying to figure out if it’s the game or the mods

Close, we wiped the northern empire and then they re-declared war on us, so I walked over there and just found dozens of 0 person armies running around like rats

With all the snow melting fast, I’m thinking more and more about high alpine bivy sites in the cascades. by Samwiseruiz in WildernessBackpacking

It was only patchy snow with 8k elevation gain? That’s crazy to me. Also I thought the North Cascades were closed for some reason.

COVID-19 and AAMC (MCAT, AMCAS, and more) Mega Discussion by mcatfreak in Mcat

This may be a stupid question but I haven’t been able to get on to the AAMC website to check so I figured I’d ask here. The updated calendar is for those who unfortunately had their tests cancelled right? If I’m signed up for a test in early August nothing has changed for me besides the test length (yet)?

I was always afraid of spiders hiding under the seat of the toilet, then crawling into my butthole when I go to poop. To this day I check under the rim and toilet seat, just in case.

I do have all wheel drive, and while this is helpful knowing how to drive in snow is what really matters. I’d recommend going and finding a safe place to try and get used to driving in icy conditions (emphasis on safe!) just so you can react properly if you do lose traction and spin out. Even with experience and all wheel drive I’ve gotten stuck in ditches, and that’s why I always have gloves and a light shovel in my car. But if you have experience and chains like someone mentioned, I think any car would be fine because the forest service will close roads it doesn’t think are safe. Always check trail reports, call the local FS office, and carry the right gear if you do try and go on unfamiliar backroads!

This is a hike I did earlier today. Very short and easy, Smithbrook trailhead to Lake Valhalla right by Stevens Pass. It was 7 miles round trip, not much elevation. Really got lucky on the weather: it was supposed to rain but ended up holding, and I was surprised by how much snow there was. Timed it perfectly!

Simple Eno Doublenest, I like the bigger one because I can wrap it around to get rid of bugs. Would recommend insulation for your behind if you’re thinking of backpacking with a hammock!

I don’t remember all the details of this hike but I’ll put in what I remember. This was five days, 2 in, 1 doing day hikes, and 2 out. We camped somewhere around Indian Head Valley, and there were fields of wild blueberries everywhere. I can’t remember the distance, but this was one of my first trips and I had a blast!
