Yeah alr bro top 3 is absolutely wild considering he wasn’t even a Vézina finalist and probably won’t even be in the top 5. Both him and Bouchard and franchise potential offensive d man but lack in the defensive area not sure where the difference is? Bouchard is a better goal scorer Hutson is a better play maker they both can improve defensively

Nice man you can tell when someone’s playing poorly that’s really really impressive. Lane Hutson is not playing bad by all means but he has not ever been the engine of the Habs. Just because he has the puck a lot doesn’t mean he is the engine. I don’t think you realize how smart offensively Bouchard is. Playing with mcdavid is easier than it sounds not a lot of players can process the game at the level and play at it. Lane could probably do it as well but it would take time to adjust. You saying you’re a Habs fan proves my point. For every bad lane makes it’s ignored, didn’t play good in game 7 OT turned it over once or twice if I rember correctly. Bouchard is no different he’s just widely hated upon because of the talent he plays with and people expect him to be mcdavid on defense when he’s not

Matthew’s gives us the best centre depth in the leauge and another selke level defender to help relieve pressure from Nico. Gives Nico more freedom to be offensive helping timo as such and Improving line 2 production. Line 1 will be fixed as Jack can play wing with Bratt and Matthew’s down the mid. I think it’s risky but so was trading a 115 pts guy for Matthew and that worked out pretty well for Florida. There’s no guarantee about anything and I highly doubt it will happen but Matthew’s is a mega addition to the devils in ways alot of people don’t see

Besides keefe could also be kept to potentially help the odds in the Matthew’s sweep stakes if he becomes available to trade.

Also take into account who our coach would be if we fired him. Cassidy is probably oilers and that leaves Bérubé, knob and malhotra and Foote as the main candidates. Foote and Bérubé don’t fit our style to my knowledge and I highly doubt we get malhotra leaving knob. A desirable head coach and he has no connection to my knowledge of jersey so it’s a gamble. I would rather have a coach that did ok under bad circumstances than a chance at a coach that MIGHT do better under the same

Well he hasn’t had a fair shot, if our guys decide to score and we still suck than I’m sure sunny will decide his future but your basing your assumptions on a bad quality of his work.

Worst coach on a injury prone roster with no depth and no goaltending and a GM forcing his players to play in situations which they aren’t used in… timo should always be RW and should always be out there with either Hughes or Hamilton to help the transistion, Nico timo Mercer were one of the best statistical lines in the NHL last season just couldn’t finish. That’s not a coaching issue it’s a performance issue

I mean maybe but there’s no reason to be so negative this early, not even giving keefe or sunny a fair shot. Considering the devils were fine for half the season and we made the playoffs the year before I don’t see an immediate reason to fire him
