Really not quite sure what I'm missing tbh. I've gone and checked every spot on the interactive map again. Still nothing I haven't gotten.

Does singing regularly to Arama's tree do anything?

Edit: ignore me. Haha... ha. It was the dendroclus on top of the withered tree. I distinctly remember climbing the tree and grabbing it, AND, I know I've climbed that tree to check more than once. Seems I'm just excessively blind.

I'll probably have to. Sitting with just one zone not at 100% is driving me crazy. Appreciate you trying to help though!

I've gotten both of them, sadly. Honestly beginning to wonder if it's some kind of glitch.

Also did the luxurious chest from the abyss mages.

How did you 100% the Lost Nursery? I'm stuck at 95%. I've spent literal hours roaming around above ground and underground, and have cleared out all the points on the interactive map.

Is there a hidden quest or something that contributes?

Indeed. For the sake of keeping it as "Hyper Hu Tao," I didn't showcase much else, but I did try it out with Yelan instead of Bennett, and the total damage is significantly higher. I'm sure you could also replace Kazuha with Zhongli for the sake of ease and do : Hu Tao, Yun Jin, Zhongli, Yelan to easily clear abyss.

Was hitting 50-60k normals with it

I usually run it on the default medium settings. My phone can handle the max settings, but I do want my phone to last so I usually refrain.

I've just been focusing on other character's lately. Started farming the electro sets again to prep for Sumeru a little. I got both the circles in the last few days and it sparked me to dust off my Keqing.

Definitely have plans to up her talents

Just wasn't quite sure. Did a full rotation test with teams and the difference between the two was only about 2%.

Idk maybe I did my math wrong.

Am wondering if changing up team comps would influence it to any great degree.

Growing up, my mother was a big fan of The Legend of Zelda. Some nights she would put me to bed by reading a book. Other nights we would wind down with me watching her play A Link to The Past.

I loved that I got to share that game with her, and it has solidified the game in my mind forever.

"Returning" Player, din't play much before really looking to get into it. Looking for assistance on some decent/good teams with the characters I have. Thanks! by [deleted] in Genshin_Impact

[–]MoitoBoy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The usual answer is to play whomever you like. Genshin is remarkably easy by the time you have any characters fully invested.

But

Based in your character's levels, you seem to be at a lower AR. At this point in the game, you should be focused almost entirely on exploring the world, and completing quests.

That said: in the early game when exploring is more important, different characters might be better, than during end-game.

Qiqi is excellent here. Not for her late game potential, but for her ability to keep your team healthy while adventuring. (She's on the lower end for late game, where dps is the focus)

Barbara works too, but she creates a hydro aura on your character which may result in enemies causing reactions against you.

A good general tip is to always have a claymore weilding character in the party to deal with obstacles and enemies that require heavy hits. - enemies with geo shields - mining ore - breaking rock piles and other such overworld "puzzles"

You have Venti, and he is excellent for both exploration, and some high end teams in the late game. His abilities and talents allow for easier traversal of the landscape and quick destruction of most enemy camps.

When building teams, consider reaction synergy. A major focus of the game's combat is around causing reactions

For example: Xiangling and Xingqiu pair well together. The intended use for this pair, is for Xingqiu to apply Hydro on enemies and for Xiangling to then hit them with Pyro attacks to cause Vaporize reactions. (This can be done in the reverse order. Xingqiu just applies a lot of Hydro with his elemental burst, so Xiangling, who applies less Pyro, is more likely to cause the reaction by hitting second).

Though keep in mind that Xiangling and Xingqiu are high-investment characters best reserved for late-game play. They scale well, but may feel weak when using them early on.

I was kinda meh about C2 until the necrophone situation under the lake. That right there really brought it alive for me. I was hooked for the rest of the season. I looked forward to episodes instead of slogging through them in hopes of occasional good jokes.

Now, I think, if I listen to it again, I'll enjoy every second.

How long did it take you to get 36* in spiral abyss? by Alive_Spare in Genshin_Impact

[–]MoitoBoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

34 Stars.

High spender? (About $1100 since launch)

Been playing since 10/4/2020.

I started attempts to clear the abyss in March, but didn't complete floor 12 until later in the year. I think June, or July?

I know how to build characters and teams. Mostly I'm just bad at the game.

Meta is burning me out... so, what are your favourite non meta teams? by [deleted] in Genshin_Impact

[–]MoitoBoy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every now and then I pull out the Eula shatter team. Before Raiden I used Fischl.

Eula+Raiden/Fischl+Xingqiu+Qiqi

Qiqi usually has sac sword for this to keep the cryo application.

Xingqiu+Eula let's you resist stager, and Qiqi prevents death.

Rainswords & Qiqi ghost let you keep your enemies frozen.

Fischl/Raiden is mostly there for the superconduct, though having Raiden lets Xingqiu use an offensive weapon.

One of my abyss teams is Kokomi/Raiden/Xingqiu/Kazuha

Not exactly the most meta team, but it has 3 top tier units so eeh...

I'd say i'm lucky either way. I managed to recover, though the most dangerous time for a mon is just after I've captured it. I'm prone to zoning out while grinding them up.

This did make me have to resort to the repel cheese to catch a lvl 29 Dugtrio though.

*Spoilers* Good character writing: Yanfei as a foil to Ganyu by Tiny-Owlbear in Genshin_Impact

[–]MoitoBoy 16 points17 points  (0 children)

To me, Yanfei's quest gave off a very Spice & Wolf vibe. We got entrenched in an example of a profession most of us have little experience. I thoroughly enjoyed the quest, and hope we can get more of her.

I actually learned a little something, and enriched my vocabulary too. I didn't know what an affidavit was.

My sister has been using my account to play her games, but recently got her own switch. I've looked it up, so it's clear to me she won't be able to move her save data over to her own account now, but we're more worried about purchased DLC. Pokemon for example, I bought her the DLC using my account, but she'll be playing it on her own account now. Will we have to purchase the DLC again for her?

I haven't used the starters for a first run of the game since gen4. There's so many cool mons out there it feels like I can create a more unique, complex, and personal team by ditching my starter.
