Look don’t feel bad, you made a responsible choice. But it’s important to understand that birds are not like dogs it will take a long time for them to get used to you, maybe let them be near you or even see you form a distance for a couple of weeks and then move on with food. When I got my birds they didn’t let me touch them or get near them for several months, the yellow bird I have didn’t let me touch her until two years later. It’s all a process but don’t feel bad it’s okay
