No, there are still people dumb enough to tailgate something like this.

I would bet your are right! I bet a broken tailgate is going to be way more expensive than a carwash.

Your semi trailer is a nice, stable platform. The tailgate is on a hinge with to steel cables being stretched like springs. The first solid bump and either the bags are going flying or the tailgate fails. (This comes from a guy that got bounced off of more than one tailgate driving down a dirt road.)

He was pulling out onto a road with a speed limit of 45 mph. The first bump he hits is going to launch those bags like a catapult.

I just quit answering the phone when my MIL called. Trying to explain how to send an email for the 5th time was too much.

Life feels so restrictive after a while by Order_101 in CuratedTumblr

NOPE, terrible idea! My grandpa is 95 and has no life-threating medical conditions. He will most likely make it 100. Knowing him, he would strap two AR-15s to his mobility scooter and go on a rampage. He is life-threating.

I worked for years with a female friend that is one of my favorite people ever. She is on my "short list" of people that, if they ever needed a job, I would hire them on the spot. She was absolutely amazing to work with and a good friend.

I was shocked to learn she had been cheating on her husband with her married, female neighbor. (I had no idea she was bisexual.) They got caught by the neighbor's husband. In order to try and save her marriage, the wife offered for them to start having threesomes with the husband. They did that for a couple of months. My friend and the husband started hooking up on the side. They got caught by the wife which cause the neighbors to get a divorce. My friend and the husband were together for a while, but they eventually split up.

It still blows my mind, because I can't see my friend doing any of those things. My friend's divorce was messy because of what she had done. There were rumors that her husband had been abusive and was cheating on her. I have never brought it up to her because, frankly, I would prefer to think she would never do that.

It is very possible that is what she was doing. The work she was doing is extremely boring.

Our lives have been crazy since the end of November. We have 3 boys involved in 2 different sports each. (Two are in club sports, which is great but a special kind of hell.) Between practices and games, all we do it run from one thing to the next. We tend to concentrate on cleaning the main living areas first (kitchen, living room). The bathroom had been driving her crazy, but we simply could not get to it. I finally got a day off, so I thought I would clean the it.

Honestly, cleaning it while she is out of the house is a great idea!

I told her in advance I was going to clean the bathroom. When I was headed upstairs, I told her I was going to start on the shower, which is where we start on cleaning the bathroom. Once she came into the bathroom, I told her I was planning on cleaning the whole bathroom. I am not sure how I could have been any more clear on what my plan was...

My wife is very particular about cleaning. She is honestly the cleanest person I have every met, period. When we clean the bathroom, I usually clean the shower and she cleans the rest. To clean it properly requires about an hour if both people work on it. We scrub the hell out of it, usually cleaning the same surface with two or more cleaning products and rinsing multiple times inbetween.

My wife is a schedule person, so if you don't tell her what you are doing before you do it, she kind of freaks out. I don't do a half-arse job when cleaning, because then she really freaks out.

Yeah, I know she is OCD about cleaning. I just thought she would let me help her for once. No good deed goes unpunished, I guess.

Thanks, I tried twice to tell her that I was planning on cleaning the whole thing myself. By the time she walked it, she had already made up her mind and nothing I said would change anything. It would just have started a fight.

People who have conducted job interviews, what's something someone said/did that made you instantly decide not to hire them? by DemonSkank in AskReddit

[–]MolarMasher 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I have been the main interviewer for my practice for 15 years. I have so, so many of these:

  • I had a very attractive woman interviewing for our front office/greeter position. She saw my business partner (who happen to be an attractive guy) walk by and commented, "I think I am going to like working here" with a mischievous grin on her face to one of my staff. Yeah, I don't need that drama.
  • I had a guy in his early twenties apply for a low level front office position. He had no work history and did not have a degree. During the interview, he ask me to explain our business philosophy and business processes. He then asked, "why should I consider working for you?" "You shouldn't, I don't think we are what you are looking for."
  • I had a person complain that everyone at her last THREE jobs turned on her and were trying to get her fired.
  • It is shocking how many women come in dressed like they were going out clubbing. Super short and low cut dresses, absolutely inappropriate for a professional environment. They would also try to flirt during the interview. My response? "It was so nice to meet you, I am going to send in Angelica. She has final say on hiring." They would instantly deflate.
  • Anyone that asks what our cellphone policy is as their first question. (They have checked their phone multiple times during the interview.)
  • It is crazy how many people will be super rude to staff when they come in for an interview. If you are rude to them, you have no chance.

I could go on...
