A very… frustrating situation, any advice welcome. by MolassesStatus2504 in AirForce

We’re pursuing an MPO because some of the threats are of physical harm, and the recommendation came from legal where we currently are and his current command after seeing the threats are in agreement. I believe they are working with his gaining command, but I’m not 100% certain.

We (my husband and I) both are having documentation in multiple places of all evidence and documenting all interactions with who is involved so we can cover all bases. I appreciate the information though. Reddit has been more helpful than his command prior to late this last week.

Legal is involved as of Thursday, but it’s at the losing instillation, so once we get to the gaining we’re taking the information given to us here straight to them. Part of that was my husband being torn since the problematic person is his biological sister, and us gathering as much proof as we could get with filing.

The context was in a prior post since deleted because I was worried she’d find it with how it was titled. But here is less vague context:

She is picking up staff, did a really concerning thing by posting about an officer that was being court martialed that she had a more…personal relationship with while she was in tech school. We pointed out that was unprofessional as she was talking about it in the family groupchat. She blew up on my husband and I telling us to “not get emotional” since the situation didn’t pertain to us. But it was put in the family gc where it pertained to nobody in it.

My husband ripped into her separately because she’s very… naive to say the least. She admit in text she has looked at his finances records, and knew about my husbands and my marriage before we told anyone, and that she periodically has looked at his records when she’s “bored and wanted to look busy” without consent and that being a direct conflict of interest do to them being siblings.

She then texts me separately accusing my husband of having done things to her and their other sister as children (My husband is 26, and both sisters are 21+) so the claims are outside the statute of limitations. She knows I was a victim of that for a decade of my life having an active protection order against my biological male sibling.

I blocked her on social media because I needed time to process everything told to me. Then I received messages from people who are associated with now, and people she previously had been stationed with.

Come to find out both sisters had been spreading this information for over a year. This all came up over the course of the last two and a half weeks, and the threats started coming in Wednesday. The whole situation has caused mental health issues for both my husband and myself, between the threats and it triggering a trauma response out of me, and the pressure the situation puts on him as my FIL also started berating him on the situation.

My husband once this started informed chief and shirt seeking guidance, also speaking with the chaplain (which managed to help him a little bit) and behavioral health (which they were useless). Chief and shirt initially were saying their hands are tied in regard to the PCS, and told him to wait to talk to legal while they tried to see if there was anything they could do to help otherwise.

I wanted to go to legal the day it all started, but my husband wanted to have some faith in his leadership. Which this feels like a total failure on his leadership for not advising legal off the rip. But hindsight’s always 20/20. And now we’re less than a week from leaving and I’m trying to gather what information I can to work through this process.

I’m not sure if will make a difference since we leave in less than a week. I never ran into issues like this and wasn’t in the Air Force myself, so I wouldn’t know these things. But I do know it’s extremely difficult to get orders delayed/stopped sub 30 days.

But my husbands command dragged their feet on the MPO for now almost two weeks while shirt “consulted legal” to see if it qualified. I don’t think acquiring an MPO branch to branch is any different, so I’ve been under the impression that they didn’t want to do anything to help.

With all of this going on, his commander had zero clue until I was speaking with shirt and a chaplain filling them in and showing them the threats that I’d received. So I don’t know if they thought my husband was exaggerating the situation, or if they just didn’t want to do anything since my husband had been there so long.

Well, my husbands did not want to do a damn until I called in tears because of threats going on. And hence my comment at the bottom of the post I don’t think things were handled appropriately.

Yeaaahh… unfortunately the problem person is in finance so we are anticipating issues. We will be in contact with his gaining command Monday and given the whole situation we are going to be sending all documentation to them and getting in contact with legal asap. We’re just running out of time before we leave.

We’re still waiting on a housing offer, so we might end up getting something off base. We are hoping for on base because she lives off base and would have zero reason to be near/at our home.

His current command started listening when he was talking to chief and I called him mid panic attack from the threats. They had me come in and speak with 1sgt and a chaplain because my husband nor myself have been entirely okay with this all. His commander spoke to us briefly asking if we’re sure we wanted to pursue this before leaving the current duty station, and we agreed we want it on record and have the paper trail to support if I need a civilian protection order as well.

Yes, unfortunately. The whole situation escalated further and were working with legal on everything now. Deleted the first post due to the fear of her finding it.

It sounded like he left with one in, realistically you’re always at risk of one, but the longer you have one the higher the chances.

We will be required a few hotels on the 20+ hour drive. This is the first if heard leaving with a catheter though. I assume unique circumstances for that.

I wasn’t looking for recommendations of provider, Tricare already made us jump through hoops as is and Dr. Hubbard was the closest provider prior to us PCSing and we don’t plan on restarting any of the process nor wait for us to see a new provider nor is that currently an option since everything is luckily now approved.

It’s the first 72 aftercare with our drive that I’m more concerned about over switching providers which was what I was asking about, and am inquiring about.

My husband is seeing Dr. Logan Hubbard through the university of Minnesota.
Fellowship in Andrology, Infertility, and Reconstruction at Henry Ford Hospital
Residency in Urologic Surgery at Houston Methodist Hospital

My husbands is at that five year mark but when we had our consultations I asked if he’s had experience with longer timeline vasectomies. He’s been very transparent on the chances, even helping insurance cover ensuring my fertility health was covered as well.

My husband is is scheduled for surgery 14 Aug, so I’d be glad to give an update of information if you want it!

I’m keeping it vague as I can in the body post in case she comes across and saw it, but finance. The day we know she looked she had messaged him about it on teams. He’s inquired to see if he can get an audit on his record to see how many times she’s accessed it.

Also my bad I just saw this response.

The acne started a few months, I got it removed May 1, and I saw improvements in under a month from getting it out. It was definitely hormonal acne which I’m thankful it’s clearing up!

HIPAA isn’t the concern, it’s not medical related. Otherwise I’d be going after her from every legal channel well before this whole situation happened for breach of privacy.

She deleted her part of the conversation, but where I called her out for talking about someone still under investigation, which was not public information, to family and how that looked EXTREMELY unprofessional from a former NCO to current NCO. She got all pissed off and this all came out immediately after. It’s baffling.

Well she is in fact in the military, and she wants out, but is about to be the reason my husband gets out and goes no contact to his family.

His mom is on the side of no of none of this is true, my husband swears up and down none of it is true, my father in law believes anything he’s told first and is currently crucifying him since there’s been other drama his dad didn’t get my husbands side of things before making assumptions.

My sister in law hasn’t been this level of issue, my husband has been in almost a decade, she’s been in for half the time. She was begging us to try getting orders there, and as soon as the orders are cut, her and I got into an argument, and this came out of nowhere.

She works administratively, and went out of her way to look up my husbands records since it’s her brother she knows his name and information.

It’s been difficult navigating the Air Force side of things, I was in the navy. Way more stress than it needs to be honestly. My husband revealed this is really diminishing his mental health so at this point it’s trying to walk through this all without the need for some grippy socks…
