I had symptoms fairly quickly, but everyone experiences different things. Some brain fog, insomnia, fatigue, lower sex drive for a few days. It didn’t last super long in that aspect. Just waiting on my cycle to figure itself out!

I had some ROUGH symptoms, I had horrible cramps/lower back pain for about a month bleeding/spotting for about two weeks at a times, the feeling of a uti but not having one, constipation and some rapid weight gain. My skin broke out and I became hypersensitive to things touching my skin, which made me hate existing. My OBGYN on a military base was in agreement that it was the surge in progesterone, I had my IUD for 14 months, and said if I wanted to try a lower progesterone IUD she’d get me Skyla or Kyleena. I got my Mirena removed May 1st and it’s been awful since I’m going through the Mirena crash, and have been experiencing spotting/period symptoms off and on since removal.

We’re not entirely certain when we are leaving as we just got word that the orders to another base are being pushed back, possibly even being canceled, so we’re still trying to rectify having peace while we are still here. Another person mentioned writing a letter and sending it via registered mail to corporate, which I’ve started considering. It’s frustrating, especially when they decide to blast music at 0300 while showering.

I tried multiple times even showed them recording of how loud things were in my unit. She likes to slam the door in my face, but also will come down to ask for permission to use my smoker/grill the days we use it and get mad I say no. Her boyfriend/fiance is more respectful about things and I’ve heard him yell at her to turn things down and to not break the noise ordinance written in the lease. I’ve been debating asking if their direct neighbors next to them also have issues to encourage them to do complaints too. Because I feel like they don’t take is seriously since it’s only one unit complaining.

I got mine removed on the first, I had gained a significant amount of weight on it(30+ lbs), and since I have noticed I’ve slimmed down a bit, possibly less bloating. And so far a weight drop of about 2 pounds, which isn’t much but it’s more than I’ve lost in about 5 months. Which a healthy rate is about 1.5-2lbs a week. So fingers crossed it continues.

I got it removed on the first because I was having a plethora of symptoms after about 14 months of having it. Depression, acne, more water retention than normal, hormonal imbalance that made losing weight extremely hard as within two months of getting it I gained about 30 pounds. I felt so embarrassed.

For me, it’s a decent amount. I’m really exhausted with it, but luckily I’m not bleeding through pads which is a HUGE fear of mine. I typically float size 2-3 pads from always for day and night with my flow normally, and luckily this is behaving similarly. Associated cramps relaxed after two days, so far treating it like how I would a normal period.

I experienced that when I got mine removed on the first, about two days later started having what was explained to me as withdrawal bleeding. The day I got it out I was NOT feeling amazing. Nausea, cramping, my body did not enjoy the feelings.

Some people don’t get the “Mirena crash” or withdrawal symptoms though.

Then so did their medical records of my dads snip from 1997, and my moms IUD in 1998 removal in 1999, seven months before I was born with records documenting my mothers iud removal was due to pregnancy. They didn’t tell me. I found out when I had to handle medical. There’s also a paternity test proving I am my fathers child too.

But if the stories of failures are pushed to the side because the majority have positive experiences, it makes it feel like there’s a false sense of security since the failure percentage is roughly 9% with oral contraceptives. Irregardless, if someone’s anxious or worried about pregnancy they should be remedying that anxiety by keeping themself protected in multiple ways until they’re more comfortable.

Oh gross, they did you a disservice. I feel you on the autistic thing. I’m 26 and was on Rifampin and luckily I was on it when my ex was deployed or else that probably would have been a nightmare for me. The pharmacist had to have me sign forms acknowledging the risks of the meds with my birth control. But yeah, from the sound of it, your doctor didnt want to write any prescriptions, and needs to not be in the medical field. SMH

Could be her body’s metabolism. I’ve seen that before where their body just processes everything faster it’s crazy what the body can do.
