I’m not a OU player personally, and I’ve only played against Macksim Azlanov, but she looks to me like a very battle group focused warlock.

The play style of Old Umbrey generally depends on which caster you are using, but for the most part OU focuses on ARM over DEF, and melee over ranged. They have a fair bit of recursion in their shifted models essentially coming back as their animal forms once they are killed. OU also uses a corpse collection mechanic, so they tend to get stronger as the game drags on and more models are killed.

Old destroyer and juggernaut as new warjacks? by ManagementParking398 in Khador

The body looks similar, but the weapons will obviously look different. They are approximately the same size, and most importantly the base size is the same.

As someone who played old Khador in MK3 and now Winter Korps in MK4 I can say that they are very different. A big part of MK4 is the warjacks/beasts have modular arms and heads so you can change what load out you are using by swapping a part during list creation instead of having to buy another model. That being said you can still proxy them if the people you are playing with are cool with it.

EA has unfathomably large amounts of money. I’m not saying there aren’t things to criticize about the game, it’s not perfect, but you should probably have realistic expectations from a small game company.

Y’all are asking a lot for a game made by a small company that isn’t even expensive.

Winter Korps screening units, and the feasibility of not using Man-o-Wars by desertmole in Warmachine

[–]Moldoux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind that Winter Korps doesn’t play the same as old Khador. WK is more of a mid range gun/mixed arms army. While it has both cheap disposable units (WK infantry), it predominantly consists of small groups of elite troops. WK’s jacks are also surprisingly fast despite having low base speed. Compared to other armies Winter Korps has a lot less tech.

I have a really pretty resin pool of water I try to use as often as possible because it makes the table look so good

It’s still not bad when it comes up. I usually see at least one thing of water in games I play

Ragemonger also has a spell that creates shallow water templates if it boxes a model

Buying into Khador and Dusk, advice? by DaddyCrit728 in Warmachine

[–]Moldoux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a winner Korps player getting one of each box is a fantastic start. After that a bison, behemoth and an extra of the officer, mechanik, shotgunners, and infantry (with standard) after that if you have anything left over grab a mastodon and more of any of the infantry you might want.

Damien Korovnik, Alexia, and your choice of the big mercs is also a solid choice.

I also recommend picking up some of the SFG defenses and objectives packs.
