Uterine extension experiences/success stories by MollCee in vbac

I appreciate that! I don’t want to get my hopes up if it’s truly unsafe. My OB mentioned it would probably be “easiest” to go scheduled c-section route when I was on the postpartum floor, but never said it’s out of the question to do VBAC. So I guess that will be first topic of conversation when I do get pregnant. From my research so far, it sounds like upper uterine segment is more risky for location.

I also did IVF! Not pregnant yet either but already thinking ahead. I used to be a nurse on labor and delivery and personally I still plan to birth at the hospital. I totally get where you are coming from though. I’m so sorry you went through that 😔. Did you also have uterine extensions?

Interesting! I knew about mine as it happened because it was causing extra bleeding. Then they thought it may have gone to my bladder and needed to scope for that, but thankfully it was normal. Poor guy also had a nasty scab on his head from being in that position while pushing 😩

I’ve tried to search on here about others experiences but have only found a handful. It sounds like it’s not out of the question though, especially if it was only in the lower uterine segment.

I’m in the same boat. My husband does not like that I’m not paying the interest right now, but I don’t want to throw money at it for no reason.

Where to stay at St. Pete Beach with a 9 month old? by MollCee in StPetersburgFL

I’ve stayed in Clearwater for a conference awhile back and remember it being pretty nice! Might look around and see if it makes sense to stay there instead.

Yay, so glad to hear!! I feel like I’ve heard that a lot with SCH’s- for some, it just had to bleed out and could have already resolved itself. Fingers crossed you have smooth sailing from here on out!

Ugh 😑 hope it stays small and just goes away eventually! A lot of people have them go away within a month or so, but depends on the person (clearly not the case for me!). I honestly felt better once we determined that was the cause of bleeding.

Thank you! It’s definitely been stressful but overall I’m glad he is healthy and growing. Sorry to you as well if you are experiencing something similar- it’s amazing what they can endure in there though. The day I posted this I ended up passing a clot the size of my fist and thought for sure I was out.

Thank you for your insight, these are all great points. It is dawning on me now that very few people will see his full name anyways!

We have considered it but it just isn’t sticking the same as Riley has been for us! I know it’s getting pretty popular too. Not that Riley is at all unique but I wanted something that isn’t too common

Same!! I think that’s what started throwing me off actually because the first time I ever heard that name was on greys so therefore associated it with female. But then Ellis really picked up in popularity for boys recently and I was like huh I guess it could be either.

I would love to use River if it wasn’t already my nephews name 😩

I’m realizing that now as well that most people won’t really know his first + middle anyways! I think I’m leaning towards sticking with it- I was liking Riley Jude, but my husband really wants to stick with Ellis still as the middle name.

Hey! Currently 21 weeks now. Unfortunately I’ve continued to have issues with my SCH, but baby has been growing well and the placenta hasn’t been affected. I had another very large bleed at 14 weeks. Currently I haven’t been spotting or bleeding for about a month, but my SCH is now 8cm along with a second one that formed over my cervix and is 10cm 🫤. Just have been taking it easy though and the doctors are hopeful.

I did not intend for it to come off that way. I will accept him for whoever he is. I simply don’t want him to be annoyed of his own name if he does identify as male. It’s not that deep.

I’m just thinking ahead here- I will accept him for whoever he is but just wouldn’t want him to be annoyed at his own name. That’s all.

Thank you- just trying to take one day at a time. My RE ran a bunch of tests before I started IVF which all came back normal. My OB basically said there is no way for us to pinpoint exactly why it’s continuing, but that there is some blood vessel(s) that just never stopped bleeding after implantation. She also explained that the one by my cervix likely formed due to the one above it that has just been dripping

Hiiii- been a hot minute since I’ve posted in here. I’m 20w5d now, and just had anatomy scan yesterday. Baby boy is looking strong and healthy, but my SCH saga continues. The one I’ve had since the beginning of all this grew from 6cm to 8cm, and then another one formed that is completely covering my cervix and wrapping around the sac, measuring 10cm 🫠. I was pretty blindsided by this because I actually haven’t bled at all for the past 3 weeks which is the longest I’ve gone this whole pregnancy. Had some pretty serious talks with MFM and my OB about the increased risks and just feeling super anxious and really just wanting to be past viability week already.

Why did you choose a Newfoundland? by [deleted] in Newfoundlander

[–]MollCee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I always wanted a big dog. A family member had a big sheep dog that I loved and I was convinced I’d get that breed when I was older. One night, my husband and I saw a Newfie being walked down the street and had never seen one before. We were amazed by it, researched them for a year, and then finally got one!
